the fact my unit represents the lost ideals of the dead Star League.  we seek to uphold the 12 pricinples set down by kerensky himself.

You should probably amend the list to include a 13th Principle; the Principle of "Ignore the first twelve so you can get a paying job and feed yourself."

Exactly. It's the mercenary units that give the "boring" House units something to talk about.

Oh well, there are always those who stick to the straight and narrow. It's the old adage about "it takes all kinds". But then again, that's the good thing about being a mercenary - you can do your own thing without "big brother" telling you how to behave.

ahem we were a house unit.  if you read my units history post, we are members of the the 20th Dragoons Regiment of the Star League.  When Kerensky left almost a battalion of men and their dependents followed my Character to exile in disgust over the last Cameron abandoning the Star League.  we found a world settled their and started a merc unit to start providing funds for the unit and dependants.  we follow the rules of engagement and treatment of prisoners set down by the articles of war and the ares convention.  we are descendant of the Star League and await its revival.

Actually Wolfcannon's group is very similar to many merc units at the time. Many of these new units (2/3rds of the total community) are old SL units who have high morale and ethical standards. This is a big contrast to old school mercs or traditionals. This will be highlighted in the next book.

Actually thanks to SL troops they skyrocket at this time. During the Amaris Coup I think they reached their lowest point thanks to units like the Greenhaven Gestapo.
