Ok as mentioned in the Draconis Combine board the problem with the Corsair ASF fluff.

Facotries 5, 1 in FWL (Connaught), 4 in FS (only 1 mentioned Axton).

Major problems: The FWL factory is in the Terran Republic and before it was destroyed it produced several hundred corsairs for the Regulan Hussars. The only way it could do this is if the factory was in Regulan space as any captured factories would have there order books controlled by the LCCC. TPTB seem to have invoked the Replevlin doctorine following the capture of Connaught only problem with that is it didn't become law and was not applied until the 3rd succession war.

The FS factories, 3 on unnamed worlds, 1 on Axton, all destroyed during the 1st SW, Axton least damageded, all stripped of parts to get Axton working again early in 2nd SW, Axton is part of Capellan Confederation until deep into the 2nd SW!

My propossed solutions:-

FWL - Put a Corsair factory within the Regulan Principality (on Tiber?) then have it destoryed late in 1st SW after building the 'several hundred' Corsairs for the Regulan military.

FS - Axton will have to be building Corsairs for the CCAF until put out of action towards the end of the 1st SW, then have Wangker AeroSpace rebuild the factory after the AFFS capture the world in SW2, place other factories on FS worlds and have 1 stay in production until early in SW2 then have cannon re-assert itself. I would put 1 of the Corsair lines on Hoff as in the tales of the black widow pack it has the 'goons and the horsemen fighting over a disused ASF factory that the NAIS are using as a research base.

The fluff mentions that during th SL era Wangker had 5 factories in the FS an TH. We know of Mars, Connaught & Axton.

Maybe the LCCC didn't like the fighter which is why they allowed the Regulans to purchase them.

That's because the writers retconned the map...again. Had I caught this when Takiro drew our map I would have moved Acton, Tecumseh, Westphalia and Anaea to the FS.

That specifically contradicts the source material- I would say in SD if the FWL captures the factories, the Hussars can get Corsairs because either the LCCC doesn't like the design or they want to standardize the federal forces on the Stingray to simplify logistics.  That's a better answer then creating a new factory.  Also note that TR3039 says the fighters eventually fell into the hands of the Hussars- so they could have been hand me downs, turned over centuries later when the LCCC replaced them with Stingrays in a federal unit.

I'd redraw the map- TR3039 states the FS had control of almost all of the Corsair production lines- the only exception was the line on Connaught.  This isn't the first issue we have had with the map in HBHD and I'd rather change the map then retcon older source material.

I see we have an issue with Axton on the map. With the release of Periphery Handbook I imagine additions and corrections will have to be made anyway so it isn't a big problem to change things. I'll do more research today and propose a solution to the Axton issue.

Moving the map would solve the issue but by the same token you'd need to move the FWL-CC boarder as well to get the cannon Stingray production line inside the League's boarders for the start of the SW.

Why?  Maybe the Stingray was only built on Westover until the FWL recaptured Lopez and Andurien. I don't know of any references that say the Stingray was built on either planet in 2785.  Adding credence to this idea is that the Deathstalker on which the Stingray is based was only built on Westover.

Just a minor note - per TRO Vehicle Annex p. 34 the Vedette tank dates to the 2560s.
