Although in the cannon BT timeline designs like the Crossbow & Marsden II were not put back into production could they be in the shattered dawn timeline?

Hmmm...there is also an "old Rim Worlds Republic factory on Kwangjong-ni" that is mentioned on page 72 of TRO:3075 in the Mongoose II writeup that was "refitted" to produce the Mongoose II and is named the "Defiance Manufacturing index"(though no indications are given for the factory's original name).

Since Kwangjong-ni has been annexed by the Lyran Commonwealth I think that this planet should be considered as well.

Thinking of which, what about those designs(meaning the Ignis, Phoenix and Vulcan) mentioned in TRO:3075 that are built on planets within the Rim Worlds Republic that were also annexed by the Lyran Commonwealth?

I think they should be considered as well.

Just my two € cents.

We can put it down as a question mark- it is not clear if this was a mech factory or something else in 2785.

I never thought about these- I just assumed the factories were stripped and relocated to the TR as part of Project Phoenix.

It is possible that Robert Steiner got there first or the complex was destroyed by Rim fanatics.

I don't have ISP2 so I can't comment too much on this - but given that the ISP series is of questionable accuracy and prone to rumors- how reliable/accurate does the entry seem with regards to the existence of the factory?

I just reread the fluff for the Rampage in ISP2.
While the Rampage was produced on Kwangjong-ni it also states that the factory that built it, was destroyed in 2767.
This begs the question: Is the factory where the Mongoose II is built the same one that used to build the Rampage?
I honestly don't know as I think that both interpretations are possible.

I took it to be that it was, which as i've said elsewhere if DefHes can re-build it and put it back into production within 5 years of the Jihad starting, after being left in ruins for 300 years, why didn't the Commonwealth re-build it at the start of the succession war?

Blue Shot Weapons - According to Starslayer entry it was built for the LCAF & SLDF, according to Blue Shot write up in HB:HS there only factory was on Solaris VII (destroyed by Marik Nuke in 2800's), which also builds the Lynx. Only problem Solaris is in the Free Worlds League in 2785.

The write up in HB:HS doesn't preclude the existence of a Blue Shot factory on Loxely that builds the Starslayer.  Also Solaris fell to the LC during the 1st SW- maybe it fell very early in the fighting- which is why the Starslayer entry says it was built for the LCAF.

I wonder what they were building there?

I'm thinking it is probably licensed common designs like the locust/stinger/wasp/Phawk/Tbolt/Archer etc.
