Overview:
The Streetfighter was commissioned by Stefan Amaris in the early 2760s as an
urban control 'Mech for use in the Rim Worlds Republic. With the SLDF's
Twentieth Army removed, Amaris persuaded Richard Cameron to approve the export
of the Streetfighter to the RWR, designating them as 'police' units that
weren't affected by arms restrictions.

Capabilities:
Although less capable than cutting edge SLDF Royal machines, the Streetfighter
is a relatively sophisticated machine, using advanced construction techniques
to pack its frame (derived from that of the larger Phoenix Hawk) with more than
adequate speed and protection for an urban combatant.

Designed to be used by less experienced Mechwarriors, there is no ammunition
wastage and the pulse lasers offset possibly inferior gunnery skills. This is
also the logic behind the use of double-heatsinks and the decision not to fit
jump-jets - it's relatively hard for a Mechwarrior to kill himself piloting the
Streetfighter.

Critics point out that it's also quite hard for a Mechwarrior to kill anything
else since most of the weapons have a range of under 100 metres. However, this
is usually sufficient to engage lightly armed infantry - or a rioting crowd -
and the large pulse laser on one side of the chest is adequate out past 250
metres.

Deployment:
Initially deployed to the RWA, the Streetfighter was put into increased
production by Krupp on Stefan Amaris' election as Director-General in 2766.
From then on the Streetfighter was in constant demand for Amaris' terran-raised
legions and paramilitary organisations. The deadly urban combat of the
campaigns to liberate the Hegemony were ideal for them and they were cordially
hated by SLDF troopers.

RWA-employed mercenaries were also recipients of the Streetfighter, most notably
the Colonel Bison's Shadoloo Regiment. The only major Streetfighter versus
Streetfighter battles took place between the Shadoloo and an East Asian resistance
movement that liberated a shipment of Streetfighters.

No known examples survived the First Succession War as almost all were
destroyed in action by the SLDF or captured and stripped for their components.
Krupp accepted orders from all five Successor States after the Exodus but their
factories were shut down by Jerome Blake before deliveries could take place and
the penalty payments demanded by all five Houses crippled Krupp financially,
allowing ComStar to take effective control of the corporation and put it into
abeyance for centuries.

Is anyone thinking like me?

Notable MechWarrior - M. Bison

Could definitely see him as a Rim World commander for Stefan Amaris.

 ;)

I think that Stefan Amaris had a strange definition of policing crowds.
