Since I am still working on the Spider review and I think there is more to do here I am going to leave this contest open for at least a while longer.

Gonna take a more in depth look at everything here including the Rifleman II which I found a Mech of the Article on the main forums.

’Mech of the Week: RFL-3N-2 Rifleman II
https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,44484.0.html

Already have a reason for the early discovery of Royal variants (New Dallas Memory Core) thanks to Hanse but even then this Mech and these new concepts may take longer for ComStar to produce then the InnerSphere variants we are working on in the other contests. Think 3058.

More to come!

No bud, rocket launchers were from FM Periphery if I recall correctly. The New Dallas or Hegemony Memory Core contained details on Royal units as well as some older Mechs which are easier to build aka retrotech.

I haven't gotten a chance to go over the Rifleman II in great detail yet but it seems that it might be a luxury for the ComGuard at this point. It only has one ton of ammo for each LB-X (10 shots each) and its armor isn't exactly max. Don't get me wrong it is a nice anti-aircraft unit but it seems low on endurance in my opinion which may not be the best option for a rebuilding ComStar at this point.

Looking at Technical Readout 3055 I found a few more Large Pulse Laser carriers which could be useful for review here.

Nightsky
Wraith
Anvil
Grand Titan

I can't believe Rocket Launchers are considered more advanced than the Mackie.... You were right on what was the New Dallas core. I read Terran Hegemony and assumed the base had been hidden since then.

So was reading through some text about Clanbuster Mechs. Turns out that Comstar was sitting on a huge stockpile of lostech. Specifically they mention the 300XL engine as they used that for many of the Clanbuster configurations that they used on Tukayyid.

Also here was my Clanbuster UrbanMech that I forgot about and didn't publish in the contest.

The PPC Urbie would not qualify for this contest Bradshaw. Perhaps I will create a second running ComGuard contest though, hmm.....

Lasers would probably be preferred over ballistic and missile weaponry when guarding an HPG, granted.
