    Primary Factory: "Requiem"/Gibson

Targeting and Tracking System: Master's Sight 1-Omega

Overview:
Created by the Word of Blake as part of the Machina Domini series the Mantis is
the second design of the series.  Unlike the previous Mech the Gestalt this
design is designed to eliminate Infantry and Battle Armour forces.

Capabilities:
At forty-five tons this Mech is the same size of the Gestalt BattleMech it is
unknown why the Word of Blake chose the same weight although many of the parts
found on the Gestalt are found on this design so it could have been to save
money and resources.

The Mech's is slow for a medium design only able to make 64kph on a run.
However it is very durable the same Heavy Ferro Fibrous armour found on the
Gestalt is found on this Mech covering a Reinforced structure and a standard
Fusion Engine.  Because of the Interface cockpit there is no need for a gyro
eliminating that vulnerability on a regular Mech.

It's clear in this Mech's weapons that it was designed to fight in a city
against infantry, vehicles and Battle Armour.  It's main gun is a small LB-X
Autocannon very capable of sniping at enemies with its cluster rounds but
little threat close in.  To cover this weaon's short comings four Light Machine
Guns tied into an array make this Mech death for infantry and threaten Battle
Armour.  Complementing these weapons is a Multi-Missile Launcher with five
launch tubes capable of firing both SRMs and LRMS the launcher can support
either the Autocannon or the machine guns.

Deployment:
The Mantis like the Gestalt was seen heavily in Gibson where it was built
patrolling city streets where its slow speed is not seen as a major hinderance.

There are also reports that it was deployed on a world known to the Word of
Blake as "Requiem" and that it may have been built there.  Where exactly this
world is continues to remain as a mystery as it is not believed to be one of
the remaining hidden Five worlds.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.
