Overview:
Faced with the collapse of the worlds around them into a three cornered
conflict between the Republic of the Sphere, the Federated Suns and the
Capellan Confederation (a conflict that soon swept onto their homeworld) New
Hessen ArmorWerks commissioned development of a cheap, hard-hitting weapon
platform that could be sold to all comers.

The project followed two paths: a light tank and a light BattleMech. Both paths
proved viable and were developed fully for production.

Capabilities:
The Boxer 'Mech owes much to the infamous Hollander, with the torso mounted
Gauss Rifle as its only weapon. Designers adapted the chassis from that of the
SLDF Spector but used a smaller engine to free up tonnage for more respectable
armour coverage.

Moving slowly and with only a single weapon, the Boxer is excellent for use by
inexperienced Mechwarriors with highly forgiving heat management. Boxers
operate well in support of other light troops but should not engage heavy
combatants without a large numerical advantage. Fortunately the low price tag -
under 2.5 million C-bills - makes this quite feasible.

Deployment:
The Boxer went into production in 3137, by which time New Hessen was securely
in possession of the Capellan Confederation. As a result, Boxer tanks and Boxer
'Mechs have seen service in the CCAF with sales approved to Capellan allies.
Unsurprisingly, quite a number of Capellan enemies have salvaged examples and
put them back into service.

Simple practical and efficient . Clan Fennec Salutes these designs . Next a triad of Ultralight designs is needed. Great Triad

Single heats in the legs for me I like how it shares the gauss but I'd like to see a pulse or/LRM variant the pulse to make for accurate fire the LRMs same as the tank for minefields in a defence unit it's always handy

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I positioned the heatsinks to balance out the Gauss Rifle's position. Putting them in the legs would be more optimal... but it doesn't really need the extra cooling.

There are probably many Boxer variants with alternate weapon fits taking advantage of the reactor's heatsinks, but I wanted to stress simplicity and low price tag so I went with the Gauss Rifle instead.

Balance makes sense I like the heats in legs just to remove any need for a refit if the gauss gets broken

It's an effective if slower Hollander nothing wrong with that on the very edge of fight could be a nice sniper
