The Clan Zombie  ;)

Seems a little under armed for a Clan Mech that size - live forever but under gunned so needs the armour and SFE

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Although it has a standard engine and near maximum armor, it uses ammunition weapons, so it is not a true zombie :) It might be a little undergunned for its tonnage and it definitely spreads its damage around. It can typically do around 40 points of damage out to range 25. Closer in (9 hexes or less) the damage is a lot better at around 80 points. It depends what ammunition load you take but I would normally outfit this monster with 3 tons of the long range ammunition and 1 ton of the short range ammunition for each ATM launcher. I really don't care much for the medium range ammunition...

I would kill the ECM suite for CASE II to enhance Zombiness.

on the plus it is atypical for a Clan Custom mech in that you used ATMs and large lasers rather then trying to make a GaussZilla Mk II or Hellstar (seriously now that it is Canon we never need to see Clan PPC boats again)

on the negative I think you could make this puppy as light as 85 tons and have the same armament.

A cheap Clan Assault 'Mech? When did it happen?

I don't normally use CASE II unless it is for a single Gauss Rifle or a single ton of explosive ammunition in a particular location. If you have two or more items of explosive components (ammunition, weapons, etc) in a particular location with CASE II and one of those explosive components gets a critical hit, CASE II will limit the explosive damage to the internal structure but you then have to roll to see if the other explosive component(s) (and other critical slots) receives a critical hit. Depending upon the circumstances, you could have a really screwed up pilot :) You can drop the design down to 85 tons but then you will have around 70% of maximum armor for a 85 ton 'Mech. Any lighter than that, among other things, you will also run into problems with critical slots.

A cheap Clan Assault 'Mech? When did it happen?

when an engineer does not make flagrently cheesey attempts to exploit Clan advantages in Energy Weaponry.

Then this is not a true engineer  ;)
