We know this fearsome Mech is coming and coming soon.

I strongly suggest that we be allowed to reduce the amount of heatsinks onboard to 15.  Not go down to the 13 that are in the engine as that gives us too much to play with, but 15, this frees up 5 tons and 10 crits in a very very very cramped Mech.  This still leaves it with 15 fixed heatsinks and of course the Tarcom which we can't remove but allowing us to remove up to 5 or even 4 would give this Mech a bit more veriaty and a bit more flavour.

I concur the ability to add Jump Jets is blocked by the number of fixed Heat Sinks, especially in Leg and side torso which is full from them.

Indeed, the result if we can't change some of the cooling system would be VERY samey, as there's only so much room to fiddle around with and you'd have to make them energy heavy because otherwise they are grossly inefficient.

So with this one, I know you don't like changing what we can do with the structure of the Mech but with the Warhawk, to make it interesting and useful, we -need- some of the heatsinks removed.  Its got 13 installed in the engine and a total of 20, it's fully up to you how much we're allowed to go to but I'd suggest a minimum of 13 (so only the 3 extra built into the engine) or 16.  Even removing 4 would free up 8 badly needed chunks of space.  Reducing it to 15 would be better, as its then only one in each side torso and gives us 10 tons of space.  13 tons would be ideal but lore wise that might be a bit of a push, although they are pod mounted and should be easily removed.

This could also be applied to the Executioner, another mech that was lamed by having a huge number of heatsinks installed.  With the Gargoyle it makes sense (kind of) you can lore wise say they are all safely put in that huge engine and IIRC they are.  But with the Warhawk and Executioner, there's a lot more outside the engine which should be easily removable.

And I just checked the Executioner comes with 16 heatsinks, 15 of which are mounted in the engine.  So one could be removed.  Sure its not much but still its something.

Thank you ilKhan, you know that normally we don't grumble about some of the chassis we have to work with, but with the Warhawk, this minor change will help make the Quicksilver Warhawk interesting.

Yeah.  The 20 "fixed" DHS of the Warhawk (seven external of the engine!) was always a major "W . . . T . . . F?!?" for me.  Not really looking forward to that one if--IF--we can't get rid of at least a few of those extraneous DHS.

Seyla, refitting the Warhawk with those 20 heatsinks in the way will make it a miserable experience and make it just unenjoyable and would probably limit the capabilities we can eake out of it.  As was pointed out, it can't jump because the torso's and legs are full, so all we'd do is weapon swaps.

Either reduce the heatsinks to 15 or better, let us have it down to the 13 mounted in the engine, give us the 7 tons taken up by those freezers and let us do some interesting Mechs.

Obviously the Tarcom is a no go, that's part of the Mech's lore and background and its sense of being. But allow us to remove those extranious heatsinks so we can do something with the design.

Thanks. There must be something we don't know because I can't think of any other designs that need to be reworked between Gargoyle and it. Unless you're considering Naga which I don't believe is worth it.

Same, the Clans view the Naga in a dimmer light than the Hunchback IIC and would probably just rather shoot people than assign them to them if they could get away with it.  The Naga's something that should be decommissioned entirely and scrapped, its engine and materials put to better use elsewhere.  If the Clans need artillery, they can put one on an assault or heavy Mech if needs be.

Not needy my ilKhan, but it is good to point things out to the Warriors every now and then.
