==Overview:==
Given the scarcity of battlemechs in the Periphery, the Canopians have been
pressed to employ the lightly armed Locust not only as a recon unit and anti-
infantry 'Mech but also as a fast strike unit.

==Capabilities:==
To take up this role the engineers at Majesty Metals have reversed the armament
to a pair of arm-mounted lasers and one machinegun in the chest.

Comparing the stubby machinegun to the lengthy underslung laser of the classic
1V model, Canopian mechwarriors have dubbed this variant as the 'little prick'.
Some pirate bands prefer 'long arms' as the mark of the obviously larger
weapons mounted on each shoulder.

All three that you put up for the MoC are nice little 3025 designs that I could see them making and being successful with.

Any reason for making these?

The OOC reason is that I'm playing the Canopians in an AU game at the moment. These are some designs that are being fielded to make the most of existing production.

Think of it as Canopus cheating on your significant other.  ;D

My apologies.

i love the loss of the capellans.
That was a complete mess for everyone. The Capellans kept getting backed into a corner and... well, the usual consquences of backing someone with a first class intelligence agency and WMDs into a position they don't see any way out of.

Full terrorist mode. Assassins everywhere, massive employment of nukes, chemical and biological weapons on everyone - including the Kapteyn Pact once it was clear they weren't going to provide any support. And in the process managed to unite more of the universe in one cause than Ian Cameron could have dreamed.

The Condordat has Sian in the sense of keeping a patrol over the world as it collapses back towards the stone age. Nuked repeatedly and probably contaminated with god knows what.

Why so much hate?  :P

Why so much hate?  :P
Frustration at being hemmed in so heavily on all sides, betrayal as worlds were actively rebelling to defect to their neighbours, further betrayal when the FWL, a supposed ally, was accepting these worlds and refusing any help. I tried negotiating but no one was willing to give up the potential gains of the Confederation collapsing, as if they would go quietly.

And so Maskirova assassins went everywhere. The President of the OWA lost his leg. The wife of Caesar O'Reilly almost miscarried when an assassin wounded her. Takashi Kurita died protecting his wife with sword in hand. A near miss of Katrina and Melissa Steiner killed hundreds of Tharkad shoppers. Catherine Humphreys was gunned down by Capellan moles in one of her own tanks. The nearest thing Hanse Davion had to a daughter was left in a coma by a car bomb. The FWL Parliament building was blown to bits. Defecting worlds were exposed to lethal and or crippling biological warfare. Regiments moving to support them were nuked in space or on the ground. Death tolls on planets involved ranged from a few dozen on planets that had enough warning to quarentine themselves to effectively 100% fatality on one world where two seperate plagues mutated and fused into an especially lethal variety.

It's bad enough that the Combine is offering full co-operation in countering the diseases. And getting it returned honestly.

After reading that, let's try to not back Dan into a corner.
