Mech size
« on: October 18, 2013, 10:30:03 PM »

Hi I was looking at the Jackalope Battlemech. It is suppose to be a light compact design an be about 8 1/2 to 9 meters tall. What is the small mech there is??

For height? The Locust surely sits pretty low.

That could get long and complicated with Quads and Ultra lights

From the 20-100 humanoid design (2 arm 2 leg) category I'd probably say Fire Ant Wasp or Stinger all always seemed short to me the Locust with those long fragile legs seemed taller

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

From what I understand the Jackalope is suppose to be the smallest because it is a compact design.

there is some old MWDA materiel that shows the compact mech trait on the jackalope comes from the leg actuators being able to fold in on themselves, fundamentally halving it's height
