The 45-ton Hellwasp is based on the Hooded Eagle currently in service with the Clan Goliath Scorpion Touman. Scorpion Scientists modified the OmniMech (well, basically redesigned from the ground up!) to incorporate a fixed two-ton MASC system (left torso) that allows for a maximum running speed of 172.8 kilometers per hour. Protection is identical to the Hooded Eagle with 8.0 tons of ferro-fibrous armor plating. Pod space has been reduced to a mere 9.0 tons, however.
The Prime Configuration is armed with two ER Medium Lasers (right arm and left arm), both tied into a one-ton Targeting Computer (right torso). The remaining armament is more typical of the former Clan Ice Hellion than the Scorpions, however. Four LRM-5 launchers (right arm, left arm, right torso, and left torso) are fitted and fed by two separate one-ton magazines (right torso and left torso) for a total of twelve salvos. Heat dissipation is excellent, even with only the ten fixed DHS, the configuration being heat neutral on a running Alpha Strike.
The Hellwasp A is virtually identical to the Prime, but replaces the LRM-5 launchers with SRM-4 launchers. It also runs a bit hotter, but still within the limits of what any Clan Warrior should be able to deal with.
Configuration B is typical of Clan Goliath Scorpion. Armament consists of an ER Large Laser (right arm) and four ER Small Lasers (two left arm, two left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer (right torso). 11 DHS compensates for the heat buildup perfectly.
Configuration C is a close-range brawler and also designed to provide ECM support for its Star. An ECM Suite is mounted in the head, while the main weaponry consists of two ER Medium Lasers (right arm and left arm), supported by six ER Small Lasers (three each in the right and left torso), all tied into a one-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. 12 DHS allows this configuration to remain heat neutral as well.
The Hellwasp D is an anti-infantry/recon design and includes an Active Probe (head), an ECM Suite (right torso), an Anti-Missile System with one ton of ammunition (left torso), a Flamer (right arm), two ER Medium Lasers (right arm and left arm), and a pair of AP Gauss Rifles with one ton of ammunition (left torso). The lasers and APGs are tied into a one-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso, while 10 DHS provide ample cooling ability.
Configuration E only carries two weapons: an ER PPC in the right arm and an ER Medium Laser in the left arm, both tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. With only 10 DHS, this configuration routinely overheats on an Alpha Strike, but just by a minor amount.
Finally, there is Configuration F. Once again, this configuration is more Ice Hellion than Scorpion and is armed with two ER Medium Lasers (right arm and left arm) and two Medium Pulse Lasers (right torso and left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. An ECM Suite in the head provides vital electronic warfare coverage for the Star as well. Even with only the 10 DHS fitted to the chassis, this configuration is heat neutral.

Never mind, I see the Boreal Wildcat and the Snow Leopard as part of the new Chi Galaxy. Will they be based on your Quicksilver entries??

The 50-ton Boreal Wildcat is the second of three new OmniMech designs that emphasize speed over pod-space. Intended to serve with the former Hellion Warriors of Chi Galaxy (the Ice Scorpions), the Boreal Wildcat is based upon the highly successful and much prized Sand Devil OmniMech. Many components of the designs are identical, with both having the same engine, gyro, cockpit layout, and armor protection scheme (9.0 tons of ferro-fibrous armor plating). The primary difference between the two is that the Boreal Wildcat sacrifices two tons of pod-space (leaving 14.5 tons available) to include a fixed MASC system (left torso) that can boost maximum running speed to 151.2 kilometers per hour for short periods of time.
As with the Hellwasp, several configurations of the Boreal Wildcat utilize weapons not commonly seen in the Goliath Scorpion Touman, including heavy use of missile systems and pulse lasers. The decision to include these configurations is a deliberate attempt by Khan Elam to assist the former Hellion Warriors of Chi Galaxy make the adjustment to their new Clan.
The Prime Configuration features an ER PPC (right arm) tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer (right torso), supported by an LRM-15 launcher with Artemis IV fire-control systems (left arm) fed by two tons of ammunition (for a total of sixteen missile salvos). Only the base 10 DHS are mounted, but the only excess overheat comes from movement.
Configuration A combines an ER Large Laser (right arm) tied into a one-ton Targeting Computer (right torso), with a pair of Streak SRM-6 missile packs (left arm, left torso) fed by two tons of ammunition (for a total of 30 missile salvos). Furthermore, an Anti-Missile System with one ton of ammunition has been installed in the left torso. The Boreal Wildcat A runs slightly hotter than the Prime, but excess overheat production is still minor.
Configuration B is much more suited to traditional Scorpion practices. Armament consists of an ER Large Laser (right arm), two ER Medium Lasers (left arm), and seven ER Small Lasers (1 center torso, 3 right torso, 3 left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. A left torso mounted ECM Suite rounds out the equipment package. With only 12 DHS mounted, this configuration seems woefully undersinked, but provided that the Warrior utilizes his weapons in the proper range brackets it is enough to compensate for nearly all excess overheat production. Technicians do not recommend attempting an Alpha Strike in the Boreal Wildcat B, however, as the heat spike is quite large.
Configuration C has two sub-configurations. C-1 features an LB-5X Autocannon in the right arm (fed by two tons of ammuntion), along with three ER Medium Lasers (two left arm, one left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer (right torso). A Flamer is also mounted in the center torso for anti-personnel work. Even with just the standard 10 DHS, this configuration is almost heat neutral. The C-2 configuration replaces the LB-5X with an Ultra Autocannon-5, all other weapons (and ammunition) remaining the same. Running a bit hotter than the C-1, C-2 is capable of inflicting greater damage and is preferred by many Warriors in Chi Galaxy.
Configuration D is armed with two ER Large Lasers (right arm and left arm) and an ER Small Laser (center torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. Fourteen DHS make this configuration heat neutral even on a running Alpha Strike.
Configuration E features six ER Medium Lasers (two right arm, two left arm, one right torso, one left torso) and an ER Small Laser (center torso) tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer (right torso). Sixteen DHS provides ample (if not complete) cooling capability.
Configuration F is more Hellion inspired than Scorpion. Armament consists of a Large Pulse Laser (right arm) and two Medium Pulse Lasers (right torso and left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. These lasers are supported by an SRM-6 launcher in the left arm fed by a ton of ammunition. Having just the base 10 DHS, Configuration F does run somewhat hot on an Alpha Strike.

Never mind, I see the Boreal Wildcat and the Snow Leopard as part of the new Chi Galaxy. Will they be based on your Quicksilver entries??
Not quite. I borrowed the names, but these are based on the 45-ton Hooded Eagle, the 50-ton Sand Devil, and 60-ton Desert Tiger from my OmniMechs of Clan Goliath Scorpion thread.
You know, I thought about including one "heavy" cluster in Chi Galaxy, with MASC equipped 70-ton Goliath Scorpions (5/8 (10)/0) and 90-ton Dune Stalkers (4/6 (8)/0), but those 'Mechs are really too slow to appeal to the former Hellion Warriors. Even the 60-ton Desert Tiger (well, Snow Leopard) is a bit on the slow side for their taste (being "only" 6/9 (12)/0!). Which is why it is the least common OmniMech in Chi Galaxy.

The final "new" OmniMech assigned to the Ice Scorpions is the 60-ton Snow Leopard, based on the highly prized Desert Tiger of Clan Goliath Scorpion. While many of the former Hellions in Chi Galaxy regard this design as being too big and too slow for their preferred patterns of attack, the Scorpion Khans insisted on including at least one of these per OmniMech Star to boost the overall firepower of Chi Galaxy. And while the design is not quite as fast as the Ice Scorpions would prefer, it is still able to keep pace with standard Clan Ice Ferrets (for short periods of time, at least).
The two designs (Snow Leopard and Desert Tiger) are virtually identical, with the only difference being the Snow Leopard incorporates a fixed two-ton MASC system (left torso) at the expense of two tons of pod-space (having "just" 21.0 tons of pod-space available). Both OmniMechs are outfitted with 10.5 tons of ferro-fibrous armor plating, the maximum possible for a 60-ton bipedal Clan OmniMech, although the Snow Leopard only carries the base ten DHS available in the engine core.
Surprisingly, some former Hellion Warriors in the Ice Scorpions have embraced the design, as the heavy firepower, good speed (especially sprint speed!), and excellent pod-space epitomize their "First Strike" Doctrine, albeit in a slightly slower package. Galaxy Commander Connor Rood is one such Warrior, commanding Chi Galaxy from his Snow Leopard in the Lithe Kill Cluster.
The Prime Configuration is armed with two ER Large Lasers (right arm and left arm) and two ER Medium Lasers (left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer (right torso). An ECM Suite in the head completes the equipment package, while eighteen DHS make the Prime heat neutral on a running Alpha Strike.
Configuration A is armed with an ER PPC (right arm) and an ER Medium Laser (left torso), both tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. These weapons are supported by an LRM-20 launcher with Artemis IV FCS set in the left arm, fed by three tons of ammunition (for a total of 18 missile salvos). Thirteen DHS offsets all heat production except for that caused by movement.
Configuration B is very similar to the A version. The main gun is an ER PPC (right arm) that is tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer (right torso). But the back up weaponry consists of three Streak SRM-6 launchers (left arm, left torso, and right torso) fed by two tons of ammunition. With only twelve DHS this configuration does overheat, but only when all three Streak packs lock onto a target and the Warrior runs while firing the ER PPC as well.
There are two sub-variants of the C Configuration. Both feature the same secondary weapon systems: an ER Large Laser (right arm), an ER Medium Laser (right torso), and a Streak SRM-4 launcher (left torso) fed by a ton of ammunition, along with a three ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. Configuration C-1 also mounts an LB-5X Autocannon (left arm) with two tons of ammunition, while the C-2 variant features an Ultra AC-5 Autocannon, also with two tons of ammunition. Eleven DHS makes the C-1 run cool (although not completely heat neutral), and despite running slightly hotter, the C-2 is still well within the boundaries of Clan norms in heat dissipation.
There are also two sub-variants of the D Configuration. Configuration D-1 features an LB-10X Autocannon (left arm) fed by two tons of ammunition, an ER Large Laser (right arm), and an ER Medium Laser (left torso), all tied into a three-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. A head-mounted ECM Suite completes the equipment package. Despite having only the base ten DHS, Configuration D-1 runs fairly cool. The D-2 Configuration replaces the LB-10X Autocannon with an Ultra AC-10 Autocannon, leaving all other weapons and equipment the same. This version runs a bit hotter than D-1.
Configuration E is armed with a Gauss Rifle (left arm) fed by three tons of ammunition (for a total of 24 shots!), supported by three ER Medium Lasers (right arm, right torso, and left torso) tied into a three ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. Although only the base ten DHS are mounted, the Snow Leopard E cannot overheat on a running Alpha Strike.
Configuration F was designed for commanding officers. With a head-mounted Active Probe, the Snow Leopard F can easily keep track of their Cluster in action. Armament consists of a right arm ER PPC and four ER Medium Lasers (two left arm, right torso, and left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer (right torso). Eighteen DHS is capable of dissipating nearly all heat generated by this configuration.
Finally, there is Configuration G. Very much favored by the former Hellion Warriors, the Snow Leopard G is armed with a Large Pulse Laser (right arm) and four Medium Pulse Lasers (head, left arm, right torso, and left torso), all tied into a three-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. Fourteen DHS makes this configuration heat neutral on a running Alpha Strike and it is capable of laying down extremely accurate fire at all ranges.

First all sir, they are your names. You created them and I was privileged enough to review them. Great work as always.
The Goliath Hellions might use older OmniMechs like the Executioner and Gargoyle in addition to a fast Dune Stalker and fast Goliath Scorpions. Other Assaults like the Kodiak could also be present here and there. Who knows you could have a namesake Mech rolled out here for this unit.

Configuration F is more Hellion inspired than Scorpion. Armament consists of a Large Pulse Laser (right arm) and two Medium Pulse Lasers (right torso and left torso), all tied into a two-ton Targeting Computer in the right torso. These lasers are supported by an SRM-6 launcher in the left arm fed by a ton of ammunition. Having just the base 10 DHS, Configuration F does run somewhat hot on an Alpha Strike.
I need to see if it could work on a Hellion 8)
