About that Cyclops optimization....
« on: October 20, 2021, 06:51:34 AM »

Quick question about the end of the optimization contest:

The Cyclops is out of production in 3053, and has been since the Second Succession War.  That's literally a core part of its fluff, the fact that it's a rare and valued machine (entirely for its quirks, not for its actual load-out).  So do we accelerate its return to production (in canon, 3058), or should we optimize a much more common 90t machine instead, like the Highlander?

Your skipping ahead a contest actually.....

Anything can be justified by excellent fluff. If you have a concept and you can explain it plausibly especially with Salient Horizon notes dropped in there then it doesn't matter.

I only ask that you stay within the technical constraints I lay out and occasionally even those get changed for an excellent submission. The inclusion of the Blazer is one of the highlights of the Optimization contest and it was justified by the outbreak of the 3rd Marik Civil War in part.

Ask yourself if the Great House or Periphery state in question has the means and motive to accelerate the process, then write the answer.

Hope these generalities helped and as always if you guys need help just ask. You can ask me or team up with others. Good luck!
