X-42 GIANT ROBO-SCORPION!!!
« on: February 26, 2014, 11:01:55 PM »

Our Experimentation on the entirety of the Inner Sphere proceeds unabated, but some factors have spun completly out of our control.  despite Dr Klein's objections that non of the events either in the Clan Home Worlds, or in the Inner Sphere itself is relevant to our eventual goals, I have taken the liberty of planning for a time in which the Big-Mt reasearch center's most powerful technologies wil have to be unleashed.

the X-42 Giant Robo Scorpion is based on an existing and oftentimes disregarded Battlemech Chassis.  Future incarnations of the X 42 will incorporate our new Octopedal battlemech legs, but for now this will suffice.  the X-42 is a drone operated Battlemech based on the Mk LIX Software we leaked to the word of Blake in 3068.  it's sole weapon is an Extended Range PPC of Clan Manufacturing standards.  Future Iterations will incorporate our Fusion Cannon designs, though Dr Borous insists the Thermal and Radioactive side effects would be more harmful then the benfits.  and do not get me started on Dalah's cost over runs!  THIS IS SCIENCE FOR THE LOVE OF OPPENHEIMER! WE HAVE NO TIME OR ENERGY TO WASTE ON OTHER PEOPLE!

*editors note* for the next 357 pages Dr Mobius rants about his co workers and thier ideas not being sufficient for the imminent emergencies he predicts.  I have edited these out for space concerns, full text can be accessed on the servernet.

Regarding the fluff I always thought 6 legs for a Colossal would have been better than three

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

it is mostly a parody.  I am bouncing around an idea in my head that would be an XTRO  Parody of Intersteller Players, where as it turns out the conspiratorial overlords of all of humanity are a bunch of barely competent scientists more interested in doing strange and bizzare things then garnering any real power.

at least that is where the fluff comes from
