Well this does take the wind out of the sail of competition. Here's what I had in the works and it's a quad. This is just showing what I thought could be done. This would have been my entry if we were doing the normal version of this challenge.

Overview:
Originally conceived as a joint project between Clans Hell's Horses, Goliath
Scorpion and Cloud Cobra it grew into a project that would include a total of
five clans. Using their combined experience with quad battlemechs, it was a
natural choice for the two clans to come together on this new project. After
nearly two years on the program, IlKhan Kerensky's Quicksilver Program was
announced. Using the Thunder Stallion as the basis for the design, it was
decided by both clans to upsize the base chassis to the maximum weight of 100
tons and use a new structure for the legs. Originally fitted with a standard
300-series engine, the Cloud Cobras and the Horses felt that it would be too
slow.
The first choice to up the speed was the application of MASC system. This is
how the Ice Hellions became involved as thier MASC systmes were best available
to the Clans. However, the Horses and, now, the Hellions still thought it was
too slow. They conceived the idea to use the 400XL used in the Gargoyle.
Already behind on the project, they chose not to waste time and resources on
trialling the Wolf Clan for the needed powerplant and decided to ask if Clan
Wolf wanted to assist in the project. Seeing the wisdom in this, Clan Wolf
acquiesced as they would not be out too much of an investment.
The final clan got into the program the old fashioned way, Trial of Possession.
The Star Adders won a successful Trial to be included in the process with the
stipulation that each of the members of the project would be allowed to design
their own configuration.
Several names for this new design were tossed around before they decided on the
Concord Tiger for its feline appearance and the unity of the six clans that
came toghether for this project.
Given the huge size of the powerplant it was decided to mount a total of
fourteen double heat sinks in the engine, while this was not the maximum amount
it was a compromise. For protection a total of eighteen-and-a-half tons of
standard armor has been spread across the new chassis for nearly as much
protection as the Dire Wolf.
Variants:
The Hell's Horses members of the team were given the honor of designing the
Prime configuration as they were the senior member of the original partnership.
They went with tried and true weapons and mounted a Class 20 LB-X autocannon
with four tons of ammunition in one torso. In the other torso they mounted the
ubiquitous ER PPC for long-range fire support. Additonal fire support is
provided by a pair of ER medium lasers and a medium pulse laser. For close-in
and anti-infantry defense a pair of Er small lasers and four anti-personnel
pods.
The next configuration belongs to the Cloud Cobras and features jump jets as
added motive ability. Due to the addition of the jump jets, pod space was
reduced by better than 25%, which greatly curtailed the design's offensive
capability. A Class 10 LB-X autocannon is the main weapon and has three tons of
ammunition to keep it in the field. As a bckup weapon the large pulse alser
provided additonal long-range firepower. Two ER medium lasers are mounted near
the cockpit and a small pulse laser is mounted in the center rear torso.
The Goliath Scorpions provide the third configuration which features a
targeting computer mated to an eclectic series of weapons. The primary weapon
is the Ultra version of the Class 10 autocannon with a capacious three-ton
ammunition bay. An ER large laser pairs nicely with the Ultra. Mounted along
the centerline of the Concord Tiger are two medium pulse laser in the central
torso and an ER medium laser alongside the cockpit. Two leg-mounted small pulse
lasers are mounted on the rear legs and provide anit-infantry and anti-battle
aromr support.
The Ice Hellion's contribution also feature a targeting computer, but the
armament is completely energy based. An ER PPC and a brace of large pulse
lasers make up the main battery of weapons mated to the targeting computer. A
quartet each of flamers and anti-personnel pods provide the anti-infantry
support necessary for quad battlemechs. Four additonal heat sinks provide for
added heat dissipation for the energy-based battery.
The Wolf configuration is considered to be the most powerful of the
configurations with its pair of ER PPCs combined with an Artemis IV-equipped
LRM-20. Backup weapons are limited to a medium pulse laser and a pair of small
pulse lasers. five heat sinks have been added todeal with the generated by the
ER PPCs.
The Star Adders have given their version the all powerful Gauss rifle with
three tons of ammunition. A fifteen-tube LRM launcher is mountedin the center
torso. A pair each of ER medium laser and medium pulse lasers provde added fire
support. For anti-infantry support three ER small lasers are mounted, one
alongside the cokpit and two mounted on the rear legs.
