I did not save the fluff at all, but the idea was that the Horses learned from Clan Jade Falcons experience in the Battle of Tukkyidd that sometimes you need to lay a bridge in combat, taken directly from the Novel Falcon Guard.  Likewise the B's massive communications suite plays  more to Horse sensibilities of seasoned commanders (a +2 initiative bonus!)
