I wanted to get this contest going a day earlier than usual since this is gonna be a real busy weekend for me. So everyone will have an extra day as this will wrap up next Friday at midnight per contest norms.

Well here we are at 35 tons, the heaviest light weight OmniMech, and we finally arrive at our first Speedster or Werewolf. Yup when it comes to Clan Omnis in 3052 there is only one game in town, the Adder or Puma as the Spheroids call it. With a 210 XL Engine it has sixteen tons available for pod space making it the Assailant or Vampire for the Clans, at least to me. Anyhow the Adder was first produced by Clan Star Adder in 3010 and performed so well that many others coveted it for their own Toumans. By 3045 numerous Trails had made this OmniMech a widespread frontline design.

So while we do have another Zombie to do in this weight class lets engineer our first Werewolf. For this contest I am going to include a required manufacturer, Clan Ice Hellion. This again is a consequence of their scrapping of the 30 ton Hellion for the greater good of the Quicksilver Program. Of course research on the Hellion only began after the loss of the Artic Cheetah to the Smoke Jaguars. So the Hellions have been working to this end for a while. Plus they are the Light Mech Kings of the Clans so I think it is a natural fit.

Other criteria include the standard Light OmniMech movement minimum of 6/9 which unlike Zombie designs use of an Extra Light Fusion Engine. Do not even think about giving the minimum here folks. This sucker should move. Remember a Werewolf is a Speedster that focuses on quickness above all else. Pod space and survivability will suffer along with your pocketbooks because these machines cost a bunch of Kerenskys to build. Unfortunately some Clans just will not be able to afford these machines but those who can will likely feature them in highly specialized front line assignments.

Ristars and the elite Mechwarriors of the Clans will likely be the first to receive them. If you want to include a Clan other than the Ice Hellions who helped in the fluff I think it would be a good idea. Or perhaps someone challenged for possession. Once more here is a list of which Clans prefer what equipment in 3052.

I’m still hoping to do a Technical Readout 3059 for this setting and when I do the winners shall appear in this fanbook. This work would not only follow the progression of Clan equipment in this alternate setting but the InnerSphere’s as well. I’m really looking forward to the day when this piece is complete.

I still prefer that entries are presented in some kind of design program like Heavy Metal Pro cause it makes things easier on me. Overview:
The Lithe Kill was originally intended to be the lone design to be submitted to
the IlKhan as per his directive. However, once the chassis was complete, a
small group of dissident members on the team split off to work on a faster Omni
that would become the Quicksilver. The head of the overall design allowed them
their folly, but limited to building one prototype, while his main team would
be allowed to build as many as four prototypes for testing purposes.


The Lithe Kill shares no other components with the Quicksilver, or any other
Mech, aside from the chassis and armor layout. Pod space is a very healthy
eleven tons for weapons and other equipment.


Visually, the Lithe Kill's cockpit area resembles the head of the Clan's totem
animal. The hands on the various models resemble the curved claws of the Ice
Hellion.

The Hellion merchant factors have been in touch those of the Diamond Sharks
to inquire about powerplants. If rumors are then the Mongrel and the Lithe Kill share
the same powerplant. Using theDiamond hark meteriel largesse may be beneficial to
the success of the Lithe Kill project.


Variants: Prime is the main strike unit armed with an ER PPC as its main weapon. For
backup weapons, twin ER medium lasers and a quartet of machineguns. An ECM
suite is fitted to confuse targeting systems of the enemy


The Alpha is the first of two jumping models and is armed with a large pulse
laser and two ER laser, one medium and one small.


The Beta is the long-range support model featurin a pair of ten-tube LRM
launchers with two medium pulse lasers as backup


The Gamma is the jumping scout model with an Active Probe and ECM Suite. A
quartet of ER lasers in all lasers accounts for all of the offensive power.


The Delta is a short-ranged brawler featuring a trio of Streak SRM-4
launchers and two ER medium lasers. The offensive punch of this configuration is
tremendous for the Lithe Kill's size.


The Epsilon is fitted withn LB-5X autocannon with a medium pulse laser and an
ER medium laser as backup.

Overview:
The Quicksilver was developed alongside the Lithe Kill sharing the same chassis
and armor layout, The main difference between the two concepts is the
powerplant. The Quicksilver's comes from the Summoner Omnimech and allows the
Quicksilver to reach speeds in access of 160kph falling in the same movement
bracket as the Fire Moth, a long time favorite among the warrios of the Ice
Hellion Touman.


While the two OmniMechs share the smae bones and skin, they are visually
different. The Quicksilver is very sleek in appearnace, while the Lithe Kill is
very animalistic in appearance.


The Quicksilver, while fast, lacks in offensive output due to the limitations
of the seven tons of pod space that is available. The Quicksilver design team
has made the best of the situation, but a few members of the team still feel
that firepwoer is insufficient.


Variants:
The Prime is rather generic and fits the trooper role with an ER large laser,
medium pulse laser and a brace of ER small lasers


The Alphais the duellist and Elemental killer featuring a quintet of ER medium
lasers tied into a targeting computer. A light active probe is mounted to sniff
out any hidden enemies.


The Beta is the heavy hitter equipped an ER PPC and ER medium laser as a
secondary weapon


The Gamma features an LRM-10 with a trio of laser, both ER and pulse, as backup
for anyone who decides to get to close, as if that were possible.


The Delta is expected to fit the scout role with an active probe and two medium
pulse lasers and a quartet of ER small lasers for striking power.

to say that Khan Stephen Tyler was upset when his clan was ordered to halt development of the Hellion Omnimech would be a casual understatement.  Tirades against the quicksilver program itself and it's bent towards "invader elitism"  were daily occurrences within both the Hellion Grand Council and Council of the Clans.  Hellion rage trickled down and resulted in a series of punitive trials that saw the Hellions actually gaining a fair amount of momentum and a surprising string of victories garnering much needed resources that would permit them to accelerate the Hellion Project well ahead of it's projected completion date.

it was when IlKhan Ulric ordered a stop that Khan Tyler had enough, demanding a trial of refusal but requested the date be in six months time.  IlKhan Ulric, seeing this as another Hellion Tantrum similar to that which developed the Ice Ferret, gave in, ready to punish the wayward clan in six months or six minutes.

When the date of the Trial came, the rejected Hellion Omnimech walked out to the field.  it was hand built with some heavy assistance from Clan Coyote Scientists who claimed to believe in the concept enough to not demand anything in return for development assistance and manufacture of a Battle Ready Prototype.

while the battle ensued, with Khan Tylers new Hellion dancing circles around the Gargoyle of the IlKhan, Hellion Scientists, engineers and warriors were briefing each of the other Khans on the improvements made to the initial paper Hellion Specs, bringing the mech fully in line with Quicksilver protocols, enhancing the mass by a mere 5 tons, but gaining that weight almost entirely in pod space.

The Prime Configuration of the "Version 2" Hellion is a match for the proposed Version 1, using remaining tonnage for a targeting computer, ECM Suite and active probe.  the Prime is well capable of adaptive multi threat warfare in the field of battle.

Atlernate Configuration A is a long range fire support variant that is centered around long range missile saturation.  nicknamed the Dervish IIC by a Cloud Cobra Galaxy Commander, the A can engage at any conceivable range, but is best suited at 600 meters.  lack of ammunition is a concern, though ti is mitigated by the mechs omnimech nature and the rapid reloding missile magazines insipred by the AFFC Enforcer.

Alternate Configuration B is yet another ERPPC oriented Sniper that every light mech presented for Project Quicksilver seems obsessed with.  this version packs jump jets to allow the Hellion to get where it needs to go and the ubiquitous targeting computer for accuracy and precision shots.  what is most interesting is the paired SRM 4 packs in each arm, giving the Beta a close range firepower that can make mechs and conventional forces think twice about "closing under the guns"

Alternate Configuration C is a Pure Reconnisance mech that is inspired in part by the Jaguars Horned Owl.  with blocky outward pods devoted to electronic warfare and a massive jump pack, this mech seems to be completly unarmed.  a special Type XIX "Thunderbolt IIC" ER Large laser is mounted in the head.  weighing just as much as a standard ER large laser, the Firber Optic Emitter is significantly less bulky, making what would be a large barrle simply appear to be a polished bit of additional cockpit canopy that only very experienced mechwarriors would see on the battlefield.

the last configuration is the one Khan Tyler took out against Khan Ulric himself.  a single large and two medium pulse lasers comprise the bulk of the Firepower of Khan Tylers mech, and an ER small laser in the head sweeps up the last of the mechs energy weapons.  a Star Leauge Era Supercharger, outdated technology but still effective, was installed alongside the MASC.  this allowed Khan Tyler to keep the pace of his mech up to beyond normal limits, as he alternated between MASC and the Supercharger allowing each system to rest in turn.  Finally there was some difficulty with the planned twin LRM 5 racks that were supposed to be mounted, and with hours to go before the trial, a Coyote scientist jury rigged a series of rocket launcher systems onto the pods instead.

The Trial lasted a full 20 minutes, ending when the IlKhan ran out of ammunition for his Gargoyle Prime and blew out a knee actuator from the surprise rocket barrage.  the final specs were submitted to the Grand Council as both mechwarriors returned to their gantries.

Report From Sept Oppenheimer-Ruger to Scientist General Clan Coyote

Collegue,

You indicated a recent amount of faith in the newest IlKhan.  This faith that I do not share, after all a warrior can only destroy, never create.  Regardless you asked for design specs that were meant for our Societies eventual uprising against the shackles of the Warrior Caste, to be part of the Quciksliver Initiative.  35T Hunter Kappa Profile is the design I am most prone to releasing that is under my direct control.  My comrades working on the 55T Epsilon Chassis are excited as well to release their own results, but that is a cell I am not directly involved in, only consult with. (As an aside, despite these machines being purely paper and computer models at this time, they can be effective and we could have them up and running inside of 5 years)

Hunter Kappa is 35 Tons, and matches speed with the SLDF Hermes Battlemech, capable of extended bursts of 150 kph.  Armor covers approximately 79% of available structure stresses, and all areas are covered enough to withstand fire from an 88mm (or comparable) autocannon found in a Stormcrow C Configuration.  further the structural layout of the mech is perfectly balanced, allowing any configuration to be adapted for right or left handed operators.

the Primary Configuration is the epitome of the Hunter Killer.  A Long ranged laser with an 8cm bore operating in the ultra violet wavelenth so as to prevent jamming or vapor disruption makes up the hunters sole weapon.  in the hands of a particularly skilled stalker this can harass and disrupt any Inner Sphere Command Structure (or Clan for that matter) independantly for protracted Periods

Alternate Configuration A is primarily designed to attack supply convoys and other non battlemech groups.  the 20mm high speed autocannon can provide direct fire, while the long range Missile five pack serves as support fire to the autocannon as well as a mine layer, for which we provided additional ammunition.  A thermal projector was mounted in the head both as a morale crushing device and to permit the operator to use the natural topography as a weapon by setting fires.

Mocked by Scientist Ruger as "A Warhammer without the PPCs" Alternate B is a fast spotter design that was meant to be slipped among battle formations.  we would have presented it as Hunter- Kappas Primary Configuration, where by warriors we have selected would be assigned to this mech and could TAG thier comrades who were nto loyal to our cause for Arrow IV Bombardment.  the secondary weapons are sufficent for dealing with smaller opponents, and the speed of the Hunter Kappa allows the mech to close adequately.

C is another Configuration designed to run perpendicular to how the Warrior Caste Operates.  borrowing from the recently seen Scarabus and Hatchetman designs, we copied the Battlemech Melee weapon concept fairly easily.  three medium pulse lasers provide some ragned option for operators.  rounding the concept out is a pair of vehicular grenade launchers, mostly meant for anti elemental purposes.  I should reccomend we allocate some resources for a passive countermeasure system similer to the A Pod for use against battle armor.  Elementals have existed for such a long time and the only counter ever developed is distance and brute force... when we have to face the bears that will not be enough.

While not particularly creative, Delta was designed to double the firepower of Alpha when the presence of rough terrain is not an issue.

Overview:
Clan Burrock wasn't entirely familiar with the doctrine of fast-strike light
'Mechs but, eager to tie themselves in with the Invading Clans they decided to
attempt to develop such a 'Mech. Their resources quickly proved insufficient
alone but Ice Hellion, already out of pocket for the Hellion, was willing to
share costs and expertise.


Rather than start from scratch, the engineers started out from the SLDF's much
prized TLN-5W Talon. To compete with other light 'Mechs a MASC system and
jumpjets were fitted to the chassis, improving agility.


Capabilities:
Not quite as well armoured as its predecessor, the Frost Talon at least mirrors
it with the first two configurations - as with the stock model the Prime
configuration displays a PPC and two lasers. The A model mirrors what was
eventually to become the TLN-5Z, pairing extended range large lasers.


The B configuration is the only configuration optimized for close quarters,
with four pulse lasers. The coolest running of the three load-outs, it's also
the only configuration with hand actuators - budget restrictions made them a
last minute addition the Scientists hadn't thought they could afford.

Love the fluff on the Hunter Kappa JP but can you bring it full circle. Short paragraph on which Clan forwards it (Coyote or Ice Hellion) and its Clan designation.

ADDENDUM

Clan Coyote has, since the time of Operation Klondike, been a Clan of assault mechs.  Galaxy Commander Sullivan Koga saw how this Touman has cost the Coyotes many resouces despite the impressive firepower brought to bear on thier foes.  throughout his career he has petitioned his superiors for the need for faster more mobile machines, as well as the ability to develop newer Omnimechs rather then feed of of Clan Wolf's scraps.  The Dingo was a private project he had been working on alongside some scientist friends for some time and saw the opportunity to at least present the paperwork and computer models Koga sees the Dingo not just as a response to the Quicksilver Program, but as a response to Inner Sphere methods of warfare.  even the C Configuration, which would balked at by most, is designed to confront inner sphere opponents with a Melee weapon, a concept alien to the Clans, but time and again has proven effective by the AFFC.  if given support Galaxy Commander Koga expects this design to be fully operational before the Truce of Tukyyid expires.

Well we do now. ;)

I should tell you all that looking back on the past challenges a number of cool OmniMech proposals that didn't make I have decided to turn into regular Clan BattleMechs. Designs like the Claybeg (Blood Spirit's light fighter), the Caracara (Jade Falcon's trainer), the Allard (Wolf's unique quad), and the Wasp IIc (or Wolf's SuperWasp which spreads quickly throughout the Invading Clans for InnerSphere garrison duty) will all take up residence in my Clarion Call TRO. They are just too good to dismiss altogether and have a nice niche within the Toumans of the Clans. Congrats go to the designers of these 'Mechs which if you'll notice did not all finish in second place. Nice job guys!

We already have several excellent candidates here and I hope there is more to come very soon!

Okay, this one may (may, I say!) be illegal.  However, technically speaking, both of the systems incorporated in the design below ARE available to the Clans . . . they just don't use them.  Normally.  But this is after Tukayyid.  Kerensky is ilKhan, and it is his Clan (many, many years later) that develops the Wulfen.  However, to make it work in Solaris Skunkworks, I had to do it as a 'mixed' Technology, since SSW doesn't allow either system on Clan 'Mechs.  Anyway, this is my effort turned up to 11 . . . hope y'all enjoy it.

ICE GHOST

OVERVIEW and CAPABILITIES

In 3052, Khan Stephen Tyler of Clan Ice Hellion assembled a ‘working group’ of Warriors and Scientists.  Hand-picked for their expertise in combat, OmniMech engineering, tactical and strategic acumen, and their ability to think outside of conventional boxes, this group of Hellions were directed to conceive, design, and ready for production a new OmniMech for the IlKhan’s Project QUICKSILVER.

Stung by the loss of the Hellion prototype in earlier trials, Khan Tyler was determined that THIS OmniMech slot would be won by his Clan.  But recognizing that his resources were finite (and urged onward by his saKhan Danielle Lienet), Tyler reached out to two unlikely Clans for assistance with the development process:  Clan Ghost Bear and Clan Goliath Scorpion.

Perpetually short of resources, the Scorpions nonetheless had access to their unparalleled archives and historical records, whereas the Bears (though cautious in nature and generally disdainful of Hellion pack tactics) had industrial might to spare and a noted preference for fast designs in all weight categories.

Tyler had but one order to the working group of nineteen men and women from across three Clans:  the design must be unique, something that would catch ilKhan Kerensky’s attention from the start.  To the Hellion members of the assembly, he reminded them only that a success here would prove Hellion doctrine (and their Touman) remained strong.

From the start, it appeared that such success would be a long time in coming . . . for each Clan (and indeed factions within the representatives of each Clan) had their own ideas for what the design should be.  Initial proposals for a speed greater than the existing Fire Moth and another for a quadruped design were both quickly squashed by the majority.  Eventually, the group settled upon an idea proposed by Ghost Bear Star Captain Liam Kabrinski to base the central chassis largely on the SLDF Hussar.

Upgraded to 35-tons in mass, the design would use a 315-rate extra-light fusion engine to attain walking speeds of 97.2 kilometers per hour and a running speed of 151.2 kph.  The Hellion members insisted on including a one-ton Myomer Acceleration Signal Circuitry system, which would boost the overall ground speed to 194.4 kph when running . . . for short periods of time.  In an effort to keep the peace, the Scorpions and Bears agreed that MASC would indeed be useful.

To obtain a workable amount of pod-space, the working group next ordered the use of Endo-Steel II internal structure and Ferro-Fibrous armor plating.  Six full tons of armor were added giving the design 96.63% of the theoretical maximum coverage on a bipedal 35-ton chassis.  But it was the armor layout that surprised (and shocked) the Hellion Khans when they reviewed the data!  Taking a page from the SLDF Ost-series of BattleMechs, the working group proposed maximum armor on all locations except the arms.  Futhermore, they included as much bulk from the ESII and FF within the arms as possible, leaving only the torsos available for weapon pods; this was done to add additional protection to the OmniMech as it could lose both arms and remain at 100% combat effectiveness.  The center torso could even tank a single burst from a Class 20 autocannon without suffering internal damage.  But the REAR armor was almost non-existent!  Even the Fire Moth was better protected from rear shots!  But the design team shrugged their shoulders and insisted that if you wanted good frontal protection, then the rear must be vulnerable; besides, no REAL Clan Warrior should ever be facing away from the enemy!

Here is where the design process took a sharp turn into an arena that would be quickly designated as unique (although some neutral observers instead called it ‘insane’).

One evening, before the design was finalized and weapon configurations addressed, Star Captain Deborah Arbuthnot (the senior Scorpion Warrior) and her Engineer-Scientist Gregor had dinner with Star Captains Kabrinski and Jennifer Bragg (the Hellion senior officer) and their scientific/technical advisors.  She began to lament that modern light designs were, in the context of intra-Clan conflict, no longer able to rely solely upon speed as a defense.  The expanded range of Clan Pulse Lasers, the increased reach and broad categories of LB-X autocannons and their Cluster munitions, the spread of Targeting Computers, and even the heightened training and gunnery ability of Clan Warriors in general all combined to make even the fastest, most mobile light OmniMechs and BattleMechs exceptionally vulnerable.

What follows is the transcript of a recording from that dinner.

KABRINSKI:  True, aff.  But what is there to do?  Modern weapons are simply too destructive, too long-ranged, and defensive technology has not yet reached the point where even armor, or rather as much armor as a light unit can carry, has much of an effect.

BRAGG:  I am not certain your premise is accurate; light units—fast light units—will always be needed. 

ARBUTHNOT:  Of course they will!  That is not what I am saying, Jennifer.  I am . . . [PAUSE] . . . lights are vulnerable to everything.  We need something that will make this design stand out; to use your own Khan’s words . . . unique.

BRAGG:  What do you propose?  We are already fixing an ECM Suite on the base chassis . . . that leaves just seven tons of space for weapons!  Maybe, maybe if the Raven scientists ever get the formula for . . . what do they call it?

KABRINSKI:  Ferro-Lamellar was the latest designation I heard.

BRAGG:  Thank you.  If they ever manage to complete that project and make it available for production, then maybe we can address this issue.  But there are no options with our current tech-base.

ARBUTHNOT:  Our current tech-base, being the operative words.  What about something from our past?

KABRINSKI:  Such as?

[PAUSE]

ARBUTHNOT:  Null Signature Sheaths.  Chameleon Light Polarization Shields.

[CLAMORED SHOUTS]

ARBUTHNOT [YELLING]:  The Star League Defense Force had them both!  We Scorpions have the plans and schematics . . . will you two SHUT THE HELL UP AND LET ME EXPLAIN!

[CLAMOR QUIETENS]

ARBUTHNOT:  My apologies.  But look, speed is not enough anymore.  Neither is armor, at least the armor we have now and in the quantities we are able to put on a light combat unit.  But these systems make a ‘Mech harder to hit; combined with an ECM we could introduce a complete paradigm shift in our thinking here in the Homeworlds.

KABRINSKI:  Nicholas Kerensky himself forbade those systems . . . 

ARBUTHNOT:  Neg.  He never issued an order concerning them; he expressed public disdain for their use as ambush weapons by the SLDF.  Hell, ANDERY Kerensky, the Founder’s own brother, piloted an Exterminator in Operation KLONDIKE!

BRAGG [SOFTLY]:  The other Clans would never allow this . . . [VOICE TRAILING OFF]

KABRINSKI:  I need another beer.  And a shot of whiskey.

ARBUTHNOT:  The beauty of it is these systems can be turned ON and OFF.  In honor Trials, turn the damn thing OFF!  But in operations in the field, or against bandit dezgra opponents, or against Inner Sphere surats . . . ah, come now, Liam, you fought in the Inner Sphere.  Tell me that you—and your Khans—would not have wanted to employ such a device on the light and medium OmniMechs when fighting on Tukayyid.  But we didn’t have any for them to deploy.  We are so conditioned today that we do not even CONSIDER it anymore.

BRAGG:  How big an advantage are we speaking of?

ARBUTHNOT:  Take the difficulty of hitting a Fire Moth going maximum speed.  Now double it.  [PAUSE]  At least at long-range.  It gets easier to hit the shorter the range is.

KABRINSKI:  Do not forget the increased heat production, Scorpion.

ARBUTHNOT:  I was getting there, Bear!  The system does generate excessive levels of heat, but you can use it to make your OmniMech all but unhittable as you close, and then . . . [VOICE TRAILS OFF]

BRAGG:  And then we are in range where we Hellions are most effective.

ARBUTHNOT:  It could level the playing field between Heavy-weight designs and fast lights; perhaps even between Assaults and fast mediums!

KABRINSKI:  We are going to be stood against a wall and shot.

ARBUTHNOT [LAUGHING]:  That is the spirit!  Going out with a BANG!

KABRINSKI [CHUCKLES]:  Well, if we are going to do this, best we do it right.  Scientist Hancock . . . can we revise those schematics?  In the next . . . six hours?

[GROANING SOUNDS]

BRAGG:  If we cannot, then we risk disappointing the Khan.  The design, so far, is too . . . conventional.  Yes.  Yes, this will make it unique.  Paradigm-changing, even.

ARBUTHNOT:  Then shall we begin, trothkin?

The inclusion of Null Signature Sheath and Chameleon Light Polarization Shields on the design (newly designated as Ice Ghost to honor both Clan Ice Hellion and Clan Ghost Bear) caused every bit of the furor expected . . . but Khan Tyler realized that his team had delivered all that he had demanded and more. 

In 3052, he submitted the design to ilKhan Kerensky and stood ready to defend it against the might of the outraged Khans.  Meanwhile, the Ghost Bear Khans (publically) withdrew their support, taken aback by the unconventional equipment (considered by many as dezgra) on the new war-machine.  Privately, they informed Khan Tyler that if the Ice Ghost was approved by the ilKhan and IF Tyler and his Hellions defeated the all-but-certain Trials of Refusal and Grievance to follow, they would provide support for production behind the scenes . . . but until then it was now a Hellion (and Hellion alone) project.   

CONFIGURATIONS

The Ice Ghost features an integral head-mounted ECM Suite as part of its base chassis, along with NSS and CLPS, and a center-torso mounted MASC.  This leaves seven tons for weapons and equipment.  Only the base ten double-strength heat sinks are included on the chassis; this leaves little margin for error (and excess heat production) when the Stealth systems are activated.

The Prime Configuration includes an Active Probe in the left torso and a Large Pulse Laser in the right torso.  Intended for use as a recon element, the Prime's Large Pulse Laser provides accurate and long-range firepower (although maximum damage is extremely low for a 35-ton OmniMech) and the lack of onboard munitions prevents the excess heat generation from using the laser in combination with onboard Stealth systems from crippling the design.

Configuration A features four LRM-5 racks (two each in the right and left torsos) fed by two tons of ammunition (for a total of 48 missile salvoes).  An ER Medium Laser (placed in the right arm, replacing the hand actuator) is the only back-up weapon.

Configuration B consists of two SRM-6 launchers (mounted one each in the right and left torso) with two tons of munitions (for a total of 30 salvoes).  Two ER Medium Lasers (as with the A placed in the arms in lieu of the hand actuators in the right and left arms).  Heat build-up on this model can be quite high and care must be taken to ensure that onboard munitions do not prematurely detonate.

The Ice Ghost C includes two additional double-strength heat sinks (for a total of twelve).  This is not enough to compensate for the heat generated by four ER Medium Lasers (two each in the right and left torso) and two ER Small Lasers (one each in the right and left torso).  Warriors are encouraged to use the Stealth systems to close and then drop their cover, generating only movement heat on point-blank range Alpha-strikes.

Configuration D is very lightly armed . . . but it is also the only configuration able to run, gun, and remain in Stealth mode at all times without generating overheat.  Thirteen DHS are mounted, but the only weapons are two Medium Pulse Lasers (right torso and left torso).

The final Configuration is the Ice Ghost E.  It is very similar to the C config, with two ER Medium Lasers and two ER Small Lasers, mounted one each in the right and left torsos.  No additional DHS are included; however, this configuration does have EIGHT jump jets for a maximum jump capacity of 240 meters.
