Hello, all. Master Arminas here again with a look at how I believe that the original IIC designs should have been done by the Clans. Too many IICs lost the 'spirit' of their 'Mech and often ended up totally different in character. Here, I shall begin by working with the Classic Heavy BattleMechs of TRO:3025 and TRO:2750 to present my view of how the IICs should have been.
Not everyone will agree (that would take a miracle!), of course. But nonetheless, I do hope that you enjoy these designs. For the most part, I tried to keep true to the spirit of the original design, using advanced Clan technology to make the 'Mech smaller, lighter, and more faster. All of these designs use the 'Holy Trinity' of XL engines, Endo-Steel, and Ferro-fibrous. Why? Because many of the canon IIC designs do so as well. And a great many 'Second-line' BattleMechs that the Clans use that are not IICs.
Note that while all of the 'Mechs I will present to you today started as Heavy-weight designs, not all of them REMAIN heavies. A good number (mainly the 60-tonners) drop down to Medium-weight.
So let us begin.
