Ok I'll have a go at stating

We're going Age of War with this thing a precursor for the JagerMech and Rifleman

I'm not going to completely cripple it with Primitive Stuff but its slow and underarmoured

The Star League Defence Force came along and decided that the Mech although nice to look at did not conform to their ideals of a Royal class BattleMech and decided it needed a rework

The lasers stay as does the engine but the structure is given some Royal treatment.  Jump Jets provide mobility while Double Heat Sinks provide much needed heat dispensation boost.  The signature Autocannons are removed and replaced with a pair of fast firing Ultra model AC-5s and a pair of standard AC-2s for anti-aircraft and sniping firepower.

The Clans were created and looking at this Mech they thought, it's perfect for our fast and deadly trials of combat.

The Mech became faster and tougher but lost its Jump Jets.  The signature Autocannons were again changed as one pair of Ultra model AC-10s and a pair of LB-X type AC-2s were mounted in the arms.  Pulse lasers replaced the standard models in the torso.

Finally the Word of Blake got its hand on this holy grail of the Star League and totally messed it up... with their likeness of "Zombie" type Mechs.  Speed and jumping movement types both suffered under this refit as Compact Engines and Gyros were used.  Endo Steel, Ferro Fibrous armour and Triple Strength Myomer were all added as the Word of Blake spared no expense.

One of the signature autocannon arms was totally removed and replaced by a Binary Laser Cannon with twin barreled arms at least matching the appearance.  On the other Arm was a pair of Davion made Rotary class Autocannons.  Although small in hitting power their rate of fire was not to be underestimated.  A medium variable speed pulse laser rounded out the firepower.  Finally a standard Word of Blake C3i Computer was nestled deep in the torso.

It's doable.  I can change features at will at this point, I was planning on refining the legs anyway.  Perhaps ill do both and see how she looks both ways.

actually there was a rifleman II, they turned it from the lightest of the heavies to the lightest of assaults

Did some refining of the torso and redrew the right leg hastily to give me an idea of where I could put it to make it look less wonky.

If JP checks this out, i have been messing with some ideas on that quad anti-air 'Mech.  Here's a couple of thumbnails, they're rough and ugly, but which basic outline looks good?  What pieces of one look better than other?  Potential mashups?
