Looking for Writers (Again)
« on: June 14, 2012, 01:25:51 PM »

Once again, I'm putting the call out for writers looking to help make OurBattleTech.com a great resource for new, original BattleTech content.

I am currently looking for authors to write in any or all of the following categories.

Product Reviews: Reviews of any new or old BattleTech Products
Tabletop Tactics: Any topic involving the Tabletop game
Game Settings: Any topic involving BattleTech, including but not limited to setting comments, miniature painting, intelligent rants, AU development, etc.

Interested takers can PM for more details, or email me directly at Knightmare at ourbattletech.com

Thanks!

WORD (of Blake) is good for two things. 1. Leaving inappropriate notes on other people's work. 2. Adding fake words (of Blake) to the dictionary.

Maybe I'll see if I can put something together this time.

While there is no specific length or word count requirements, I council everyone to remember and repeat the following mantra: Content is King, Content is King.

Meaning, more is more. So the longer, the fuller and better the article the happier the SEO Internet Gods will be. Lots of text also makes Knightmare happy.

Format for authors is simple. Send your content via PM or Email

Include the following:

Article Title
Body Text
Art Notes (if any apply)

If you have images or an original file, please add them as attachments.

I'll ensure styles are consistent, as well as basic AP Style edits. Unless otherwise asked, that's it. If you need anything else, just let me know via PM or email.

Thanks!

You can count on me.  I'll get right on it.  Tomorrow.  If I get a chance.  Maybe.  On second thought, nevermind.  Though I might throw out the occasional rant.  Just don't expect it to be intelligent.  Or coherent.  And did you mention something about AP Style?  I only operate within the holy confines of the Chicago Manual of Style.  Maybe Turabean if I'm slumming it.

I use Chicago, Turb and AP Style.

It's whatever suits your fancy.

I have been planning to review Lib Terra I, but might wait for Lib Terra II and review tham as one.

I am reading ER:2750 in prep for a review, just got to get to it.  Better yet, I might just review the ER series as one.

The other one I'll look at is Operation Klondike.

It is just finding the time with a new kid in the house.

I'll keep to the format I've been using for reviews if you are happy with that?

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

I'd be happy to do a review on Field Manual SLDF... When it gets released. Maybe I can write some reviews on the other Star League books as well.
