Some new miniatures from TRO:3063
« on: April 05, 2011, 08:34:25 AM »

We are nearly done with the fan-made TRO:3063.   One of the many things to come from this project is new art, and that new art has inspired sculptors to make new miniatures.

The original art

The miniature

Assembly instructions

They've got these available over at Shapeways now.

Nice.

Excellent.  Whats the projected completion date on TR 3063?

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

I think it's due late august or early September.

Steve is currently looking for input as to what minis should be made; I put in for the two Privateers myself.

About $13 the pair, which includes the variant parts for both tanks and shipping.  Takes ten working days to get to you, minimum order of $25, white or black detail media.  The basic data for the tank is listed on the site so you don't have to wait for the TRO, which is currently scheduled to publish in early September.

I just ordered three Jenner JR7-X minis.  Bill busted his knee and is going starkers at home.  I have to give him his paints back so he can be a CSO artist again.  Heh.  He is gonna do the Jenners for me.

That seems like a proper trade.

"Here are your paints and a couple of minis to paint. Enjoy."

I like. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Well, he has gone from airsofting once a week to being stuck in the house with four kids.  I think he will welcome the diversion.  I just hope it does not distract him too much from working on the layout for the TRO.  He only recently got to the point where he can walk (very slowly) and sit in a normal chair.  To think he still has to go under the knife to repair torn ligaments makes me wonder how much longer it will be (post-op) before he can work in a regular chair again.

I told him I could rig up something to let him work in a recliner, but so far he's begged off.  We'll see, I guess.

It looks simply amazing.

Can't wait for the Werefox, even if it is a FedRat design.
