Battletech Terrain Question
« on: August 30, 2018, 12:36:22 PM »

Looking to purchase some terrain for when we resume our gaming this Fall. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good site to order from? I find a lot more of the decent sites are from Europe, I guess wargaming is more popular over there than here in the States. I was looking and though these are pricey they seem to be decent quality.

Thanks for any suggestions.

As you can tell etsy was the best site I could find. Even had more suggestions than ebay.

Probably be better bud if you can post this on the Miniatures board.

You or i can ask MechRat to do it

I am still looking at Geo-Hex stuff but the new boxed sets may have new map sheets

I asked if MechRat would move this thread to the Mini board for proper attention.

Also Bradshaw have you checked the big boards Gaming Terrain threads?

Not yet I'll take a look today

Id use an arena map if we have one. A Dueling arena is probably where the Khan trials would be held.

Ok I guess the real question is what scale to use. Most are talking 6mm scale which seems very small to me. But there is 10 mm 15 mm and 28 mm. Aren't mechs 28 mm?

Ok 6 mm seems to be the best.

Takiro take a look and lets put together an order for the Fall.

I need to talk to the CAD professor here and see if I can get access to the 3D printer here. I think I'm going to take some CAD courses to learn how to do my own modeling

Interesting bud, the question of scale is a good one. To be honest I have not a clue what the answer is but those objects all look nice.
