Labor Day Miniatures Challenge- Fed Com Corps
« on: August 28, 2014, 10:04:52 AM »

Really simple, I have a collection of minis that are assembled, and primed, and are going to be painted as members of the Fed Com Corps Circa 3049 (with visual allowances made for Reseen).  They will be painted and army painter dipped before the end of the labor day weekend, MAYBE if I get my act together even decaled.

the mechs are as follows

Assault- Atlas, Highlander, Banshee, Battlemaster, Zeus, Victor, Awesome
Heavy- Orion, Caesar, Thunderbolt, Jagermech, Catapult, Quickdraw
Medium- Shadow Hawk, Hunchback, Enforcer, Centurion, Cicada
Light- Wolfhound, Firestarter, Spider, Commando, Locust

I also have a Shiro and Hitosume Kozo I want painted in Otomo and Direon Regulars colors as well. Buty those are extra credit.

Good luck with the checkerboard pattern

I won't be doing the Checkerboard Pattern on ALL of them, just where I can reasonably squeeze it in, most are going to get the gold band around the arms and legs.

I am also ignoring the 3rd FedComs matte Black Paint job

You doing all 12 RCTs?

I hope the 9th is in there. They were my favorite and the only F-C unit to see action until 3057.

not all twelve, I am removing the 5 that defected the the LCAF and became the Alliance Guards and Alliance Jagers, who will be represented in Miniature form as well in the eventual. so that would be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th if my research is accurate.

and unlike a large swath of my mechs, the Fed Com Corps Mechs are not going to be semi distinct lances, but instead a broad collection, more accurately put most of them are going to be mechs that appear in Mechwarrior online that are reasonably sure to show in the AFFC. (for example I am removing the Trebuchet and Dragon, and swapping the Cataphract for the Caesar and Jenner for Wolfhound.)

I am doing one touch for the 5th Fedcom though, and putting the Yello Stripe down the back... so maybe I should do the 3rd RCT in Black... Hmmmmmm

You're a beast! I just picked up the brush again—for reals this time—and I only managed to (mostly) finish a point of Roc ProtoMechs! Sheesh!

Wow, that's an impressive list.  I usually can only do about one mech a week, with casual painting.  My two-year-old doesn't allow me the luxury of much personal time.  Mrs. Arbiter must be quite forgiving!

the fact that it was a shared paint scheme helps a lot, I just wish I could get the time to get off my duff and share the results with you all...

This was taken after the Army Painter but before the Matte and basing....  Black mechs are Third FedCom while the rest of the Blue are regular Fed Com.  I also have some Sword of Light, Amphigan LAG and Katana Tormark's Hitosume Kozo in there.  all done at the same time.
