I do think the next line is critical to the quote though.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

In Rugby, we also have 120kg nutters, who run like gazelles and hit like a Panzer.

Yes, but are there 22 of them on the field at the same time?  Case in point Offensive Lineman D.J. Fluker.  A Hurricane Katrina refugee from New Orleans, Louisiana his family moved several times before his senior year of high school.  That year they wound up in Foley, Alabama and he graduated from my alma mater, Foley High School.  He now plays for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, 2011 National Champions (that makes 14 in school history and the second in three years), and is considered a 1st or 2nd round NFL draft pick for 2013.  He's 6' 6" and weighs 335 lbs, and he lost weight to get to 335.  Or when the Baltimore Ravens have Haloti Ngata, 6' 4" and 350 lbs, and Terrance Cody, 6' 4" and 349 lbs (in college he got close to 400 lbs), line up next to eachother on the Defensive Line.  For crying out loud Julio Jones, who plays for the Atlanta Falcons and is also from Foley, is 6' 3" and weighs 220 lbs and he's a Wide Receiver!

I don't think so but you are the original author.

I might hate myself later for asking this question (it has to do with the &$%^ing WizKid blasphemy storyline) but what is the history of the WoB?  I know some of it from the pre-WizKid novels but I lost it after that.

Ostensibly founded by Waterly, but controlled in reality by the Master (the real Thomas Marik).  If you belive the hype, the Master also controls The Blood, a remnant of Clan Wolverine, who have controlled ComStar's destiny at times and became the core of the original Manai Domini.  The WoB took Terra, opened up the factories and planned to join the Star League in an effort to wipte out the Clans, by leading humanities counter-crusade with the Manei Domini the xreaming edge of the wedge.  The collapse of the 2nd SL saw the WoB throw a Fissy Hit of epic proportions, which was ended by the rise of Stone.

Okay, so Clan Wolverine wound up in ComStar?  I thought they wound up deep in the Periphery living as pirates one step ahead of cavemen.  But now you say they turned into The Blood, apparently accepted in by ComStar.  So how does ComStar get caught off guard by the Clans if part of they're number are the decendents of Clansmen?  What, they kept their mouth shut for all those years?  And what the heck is the Manai (Manei) Domini?  I've heard of the missi dominici but they were Charlemagne's inspector generals.  And, lastly, Thomas Marik was the one leading the $%#*ing-WizKid-rip-off-the-Muslim-term-for-holy-war?  So calm and cool Thomas Marik starts popping nukes like a Pezz dispenser and tried to collapse the IS in on itself?  And the Clans, what the heck happened to them?  They just turn into a bunch of wusses and do nothing?  I declare BS!

P.S.  And for anybody who didn't know Comstar was the name that Honda gave to their built-up metal motorcycle rims in the early 1980's.

Heavily hinted but not yet confirmed, unless you ask the Ghost Bears.

Only a tiny group within ComStar knew of them.  Over time they took control of that group and became the secret order within the order.  Guiding from the shadows so to speak.

These are the cyborg WOB super-soldiers designed to be the answer to Clan Trueborn Warriors.

The bomb blast seems to have destabilised him a little.  Funny as it sounds, I have seen this personality swing from calm, cool and measured to rabid zealot, brought on by trauma in real life.  Not pretty, but it can happen.

War on 2 fronts (or three) for the IS Clans drained them, and the 1st Succession War rerun in the Homeworlds gutted those that stayed there.

Still not buying it.  Sounds like a cop out plotline solely intended to tie up loose ends so WizKid could start up its &#%ing Crap Age, or whatever they called it, storyline.  Now, if they had only consulted me...

Victor becomes Precentor Martial and crushes the WoB in a ComStar Civil War.  He and Kurita would then turn their attention on dealing with the Clans.  Those willing to move to the IS and integrate, Nova Cats, Ghost Bears, and anyother Wardens, would then join up, or atleast remain neutral, as the Crusader Clans are dealt with.  However, they have their hands full dealing with their own people.  The lower castes are now aware of outside ideas like no caste system.  These rumblings become outright revolutions demanding a return to the Star League.  Eventually the Warden Clans of the IS join the SL as member states, the Clan homeworlds are integrated into the SL, Victor retakes the throne of the FedCom, and then he marries Isis Marik and becomes First Lord.  Also Phelan Kell gets to settle things with Vlad Ward and Katherine and Kai Allard-Liao takes over the CC.

You mean the FedComLea. ;D  Victor would hold the throne of the FedCom and would also be the Precentor Martial so he would also control the FRR, Isis would be Director General, the Kuritas are now allies (or at least friends), and with Kai in control of the CC all of the IS is either directly under Victor's control or allied to him.

Historically motorcycle racing has been a young man's pursuit.  Now there have been exceptions, drag racing and American flat track racing spring to mind, but usually the more physically demanding the style of racing the younger the field and the champions.  But now something new is occuring.  World Superbike has become the old man's series.  Last year it was won by Carlos Checa who will turn 40 this year.  The year before it was won by Max Biaggi who will turn 41 this year.  Yesterday were the first races of the 2012 season at Phillips Island, Australia.  Race 1 was won by Biaggi (after Checa had a terrible highside while leading the race) and Race 2 was won by Checa (who some how came back from landing on his head and back at around 100 mph in Race 1) and Biaggi came in second after running off the track early in the race and winding up in last place.  And what's even more impressive is that Checa is doing it on a bike that is considered long in the tooth and isn't even made by its manufacturer anymore (the Ducati 1098) and Biaggi is doing it on a bike that everyone knows has mega power and razor sharp handling but no one else seems to be able to control (the Aprilia RSV4).  Let's hear it for the geezers!
