Or Casper was behind you when you ordered the phone.

Got a new car (to us atleast) last week.  2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring.  This replaced our 2008 Ford Taurus X.  We went from a 265 hp, 3.5L V6, 6 speed automatic to a 138 hp, 2.0L I4, 4 speed automatic, but we also went from 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway to 23 mpg city/30 mpg highway. ;D  Its also smaller, but it weighs 1000 pounds less.

Can't you use the normal measure units? You know the things that everyone understand and that are based on the decimal system?  ;)

I'll be long dead in the cold, cold ground before we switch that pagan metric system. ;)

See you are the one defending Internet freedom and not accepting a different metric system that is used all over the world  :P

I defend the freedom to use the measurement system created by our esteemed forefathers; or some English king or whatever.  I say down with the repressive metric system!  Up with pints and quarts!

Grandpa Simpson:  My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead and that's the ways I likes it!  (Actually that's terrible mileage because a rod is equal to roughly .003 miles and a hogshead is equal to 145 US gallons.  So that's less then a quarter of a mile covered by 145 gallons of gas.  Must have been a Chrysler product.)

You are free to do so but don't expect anyone else to understand you  ;)

I live in the States and I don't understand me.  ;D

Or the English system, for that matter.

Or the metric system.

I am having no luck whatsoever in getting back my Btech groove.  I've been a bit burned out on writing, but recent events have kept me further away. I spent last weekend taking photos to test the camera of my new cellphone (I'm attaching them below). This weekend? Have any of you read about the Rio +20? Part of it is going on one block from my street; apart from a couple of interesting panels, most of it was a massive arts & crafts fair, put on by an odd mix of argentines, bolivians, and several indian tribes from northern Brazil.

During the week? Most of my work is done on-site, and the buses in Rio are stupidly expensive, so I hoof it to work. I've been working more than usual lately, as a result, I've lost a bit over 6kg. I wasn't overweight to begin with, now I've got people asking if I'm sick or if I raided my big brother's wardrobe ::)

I need a vacation...

I'm on vacation right now and am looking forward to going back to work so I can rest. :P  My brother-in-law and his family have been here since last Tuesday and Friday we went to New Orleans, a 3+ hour drive.  4 adults, our 5 year old and 2 year old, and their 4 year old and 1 year old.  We went to the Audubon Aquarium, Insectarium, and Zoo and came back late Saturday.  I'm still tired and its Monday.  Today we're going to the beach so I get to battle Summer traffic and deal with tourists, hurray.

One of the few things from the US that I miss: New Orleans. About a week and a half ago, I made a huge pot of jambalaya. Good times  8) 8)

I'll trade you even, New Orleans for Braztech.  Ah, that's a terrible deal.  Okay, all of Louisiana for Braztech.

Guess who was at my house today?  Nope.  Nope, try again.  That's right it was Warhawk.  I think we spent a grand total of 3 minutes talking about BT.  Maybe that's because our wives were here or maybe because I haven't seen him for a year and a half and we had other things to catch up on.
