Dude, I still have a Commodore 64 I managed to salvage. In pristine condition in the original box. I call it my retirement fund.

I still haven't forgiven Apple for the Newton. ::)

And I'm just waiting for some basement dwelling hacker with too much time on his hands to develop an Apple specific virus.  Can you say small pox in the New World?

There are some Mac specific viruses. Apple's in general aren't immune to foul play, it's just the number of avenues available to attack is limited by how well the OS is built. (Well, for most of Apple's OS.)

Currently, there are a few fun Q Virus-style attacks that are currently floating around, that target iPhone users specifically. It's mostly confined to Eastern Europe, but hey...give it time!

Does having an Ataris 520 STF in perfect conditions make any sense?

Whatever happened to Napoleon III's semiphor(sp) tower system?  I think it was running around AT&T 3G speed. :P

Sorry.  I was thinking of the semaphore tower system the British built in preparation for an invasion by Napoleon III.  It was replaced by the telegraph not long after it was built; kind of like the pony express in the US.  But hey, the semaphore tower system could get a message from London to Portsmouth in 15 minutes.  Not bad for mid-19th century technology.  And for more on semphore towers read Terry Pratchett's Discworld Series.

By Napoleon III?
While I was in Ireland, I saw towers and fire signals that were designed to prevent Napoleon to invade the British Islands or to warn the English that he was doing it.

Yes, the British were worried that Napoleon III was going to invade Britain.  They're always worried that someone is going to invade Britain.  After WWI they thought the next war was going to be between them and the US.  I didn't say that their fears were grounded in reality or that they made sense(since?).  See, even their language doesn't make any sense.  I can't even come up with a word or phrase that adequately discribes how messed up the English language is.  (Is Knightmare reading this?) ;D

The 3rd or the 1st?
