I could have worn shorts here on Christmas and Boxing Day.  But yesterday it was 28 degrees F when I woke up. :o. Stupid weather.

I was in Nice for New Year and the following week and it was great with a lot of sun.
Now I am back in Lorraine and everything is grey.
What is wrong here?

Well your upside down buddy. In this hemisphere it should be winter but it feels like spring. At least you have summer down there even though your toilets still flush the wrong way.  :D

Trolling with toilet jokes? My how the mighty have fallen. I was hoping for Kangaroo and Fosters jibes. I suppose I'll have to go elsewhere to find good Australian bashing. :)

Rattlesnake.  Of course like Momma says in "The Waterboy" snake really doesn't have parts but if I was to guess I would say your eating his knee.

I just wonder if you could make a Platypus egg omelet?  Can you use Koala meat as a cough drop?  And what about the ants (or maybe termites?) with the bulbous abdoman that taste like lemon?  Can you make a peanut butter and Box Jellyfish sandwich?

Anyway, I went to Leeds (just east of Birmingham, but in Alabam not England) yesterday to the Barbour Motorsports Museum with my Dad and two of my brothers.  5 stories (you can see the basement where they do restoration work and store more cars and bikes but you can't get down there) of super rare (and not so rare) motorcycles and cars.  Everything from a Hildebrand and Wolfmuller (the first production motorcycle) to a brand new Eric Buell Racing 1190RS Carbon to a Triumph owned by Steve McQueen to a Brittan V1000 (they only made 10 before John Brittan died) to a Soviet Vostok Motorcycle Grand Prix race bike (bet you didn't even know that the Soviets tried to race at an international level in the 1960's) to Dan Guerney's Indy 500 winning Lotus (the first mid-engined car to win the Indy 500) to Sir John Surtees Formula 1 championship winning Ferrari and Motorcycle Grand Prix championship winning MV Agusta to a Lotus Mk VI (the first seris sold to the public) to the Ducati 900SS that Mike Hailwood won the 1978 Isle of Man Senior TT (one of the most improbably comebacks in motorsport history) to a Koenig Motorcycle Grand Prix race bike (one finished second in the 1974 championship which is really impressive when you consider its engine was originally intended to be used in a boat) to a first series Indian "Camelback" to a host of Lotus and Formula 1 race cars (some of which they only built one of).  That's right, one of the best (if not the best) motorcycle and car museums in the world is located in Alabama and was founded by a guy who made all his money selling milk. :o

It wuld take a hell of a lot of eggs, they are rather small.

Can you use Koala meat as a cough drop?

Don't know, will try though.

They taste sweet, called sugar ants.

Quote

You could, but it would be the last thing you ever ate.

Quick question about Australian Rules Football.  Are there, or have there been, many foreign players in professional ARF?  I know that American Rules Football always gets pigeoned holed by "ferners" as a strictly American game but a lot of foreign players have played in the National Football League (and the CFL up in Canada had to make a rule limiting the number of foreign players [read Americans] on each team).  Several Western Europeans (mostly of the hated foreign Place Kicker variety [Alex Karras, best known as Mongo in the Mel Brooks classic "Blazing Saddles" and the dad on the TV show "Webster", REALLY hated foreign Place Kickers], unless they're Germans who tend to be Defensive Linemen), Africans (mostly Nigerians for some reason and Charlie Peprah's grandfather was the military dictator of Ghana back in the 1970's), at least one Australian (Darren Bennett who was brought in as a Punter by the San Diego Chargers.  Back in Australia he said he was made fun of for wearing a helmet and pads until he explained that the average NFL player was around 6' 2", weighed 250 lbs., could bench press over 400 lbs., and could cover 100 yards somewhere around 12 seconds.  Forget a helmet and pads, climbing inside a tank might be a better idea.), many Canadians and a few Mexicans, and one Vietnamese player (Dat Nguyen who played Middle Linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys).

As a Rugby player, I am no expert.  There are a few Irish, from Gaelic Football and many localised Greeks and Italians.  There may be others, but I tend to glass over and tune out when AFL news is on.

As to armour, NFL players are girls.  In Rugby, we also have 120kg nutters, who run like gazelles and hit like a Panzer.

We don't wear armour, we just man up.
