It seems I posted my own home joke in the wrong section :P

So you need someone foolish enough to defend the Free Worlds League?

Have you ever thought why Free Worlders don't have a lot of PPC?
Simply because their armed forces would be too efficient and that would be unfair to the Social Soldiers of the Lyran Commonwealth.

The Free Worlds League makes the city states of ancient Greece look organised and well behaved.  The Inner Sphere is lucky that Kerensky turned left and not right.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

He turned left at New Smarkand and went Coreward, had he turned right he would have gone Rimeward and the Clans could have then struck through the CC, hitting the FS and FWL as well.  See the Star League Reborn stories for the results of that one.

Oooo now that's a thought. Nothing dilutes, err...pollutes a Blood House quicker than radiation poisoning. Me likes.

As long as no one let the Ice Hellions come along, as they would have sooked from the start about all the pretty girls ignoring them.

Wrong.
They would have gone so quickly through all these secondary powers that they would have reached Terra faster than it takes to say Kerensky.

With pretty girls and Inner Sphere culture distracting them. Never.  :P

Honestly, any Clan assigned to the Concordat would have stalled at least 50% earlier in their invasion in comparison to the canon attacks. We're talking about the people who (according to canon) basically pioneered interstellar human wave attacks. Plus, they haven't the slightest problem with unleashing nukes. Talk about a meat grinder. Love'em or hate'em, the Taurian Concordat is a tough mother when you're invading their turf.

That said, anyone pushing through the Magistracy would enjoy a walk in the park until they reached Andurien or Regulus. Neither one of those people are well known for playing nice with invaders either. Lets see, the Anduriens fought three protracted and bloody wars with the Capellans prior to the Star League...and we've already seen how Regulus responds to invaders.

Gibson anyone?  :-[

It would all be dark and miserable until the Lyran commonwealth rode to the rescue.

Imagine how powerful the LC would become if it became the producer for the states facing the Clan onslought.  The massive jump in the FWL industry would be placed upon the already massive Lyran industrial might.  The DC would be crapping itself.
