New Years approaches!
« on: December 28, 2010, 08:14:27 PM »

What is y'all doing for New Years?  Personally I'm looking forward to driving about three hours so I can spend it with friends.  Been doing that for around ten years now so it is something of a tradition.  Who knows, they might even talk me into curling. :)

I won't be Curling W but things are shaping up. Just getting back from days of snow plowing here in the Northeast so hopefully I won't wake up after the New Years celebrations are over. My best wishes to all!

Heh, curling can be fun from what I've seen.

So was the snow out there as bad as the news made it sound?  Maybe I'm a cynical Midwesterner but it sometimes feels that anytime the East gets three flakes it is national news.

It was bad W, 20 inches of snow and the worst was the wind blowing it around. Couldn't even see out of the truck at times.

I stay home on New Year's Eve with my family. I don't like driving on that night.

The snow here wasn't that bad but then again I didn't have to drive in it. I had about 15" but the winds made a lot worse.

Twenty inches and blowing, yeah that'll mess about anything up.

MR - I don't drive on New Years Eve.  I''' drive up there the day before and back down the day after.  Would have liked to stay and additional day but the Packers have thier last home game at noon to the resultant traffic is best avoided if possible.
