Yup...looks good.  A futuristic version could easily be smaller.

...For god's sake - why?  .50 cal is ok, but what about AC/2, /5, /10, /20?

Sonic weapons.  I've always wanted a reusable sonic AP pod. or a Sonic "Flamer"

Smart weapons of various sorts. Look at modern toys then extrapolate.

Strange physics weapons.  The KF drive was only the begining...

Rearrangement of current game mechanics. LB-Lasers. Streak Autocannons! Pulse Missiles?

Good to see you Thunder.

I think he meant size - mass/volume rather than smaller caliber...

But I completely agree with a larger caliber.

Well you just know I'd show up on a custom weapons thread Knightmare.

You'll have to expand your statement Red Pins.

Advanced armors:

Enhanced Preformance armors: Energy, Ballistic, Missile. Perhaps the damage coefficient is changed.  (3 points of Laser for every 1 point of armor, 2 Points Balistic per one point of armor, 1 Point Missile does 2 points of armor damage)  Perhaps there is a straight damage reduction ala shields or ferro-lamellor (you hit with 10 points of damage. it is reduced by the shield factor of 5, 5 points of armor are destroyed as a result.)

Preemptive Armor: Somehow M-Pods and AMS's meet in this plate of armor.  For the cost of a single point of armor, A missile salvo is reduced by D6 missiles.

Next generation modular armor: It fits on better, It doesnt slow the mech down, and it can even use advanced armor types. (reflective, reactive, etc.)
Modular Shield segments: Cover a location with a localized shield. Less bother, but I suspect it will eat critical slots alive.

Energized Armor:

Defensive Systems:

Anti Artillery lasers.

Area defense anti-missile systems

Reloadable Grenade launchers.  I have always hated this system for being one shot.

Reinforced Cockpit. Use up the extra space in the head for a shock absorber. Why should being hit in the head stun the pilot?

Heavy ECM systems.  Spend the tonnage to get real electronic deviltry onto the field.  Bring new meaning to ghost regiments.  Melt the other guys radar receivers, Be the guy everyone wants to hide behind. (Hostile LOS can not pass Through Hex's occupied by...)  Just be sure to bring some AMS's. (HARM missiles Can Not Avoid Hitting...)

Love the idea of autocannons blasting missiles to bits as oppose to anti-missile missiles. I can visualise small turrets swivelling and just toasting those babies ;)
