Looking for pen & paper RPG

I am looking for a pen & paper RPG focusing on exploration, trade and the Great Discoveries.

If you have ideas, they are all welcome.

What kind of setting you talking about - Historical? Fantasy? Sci Fi? Be interested to see what you find.

Eclipse Phase could certainly work for that, though the core setting is a bit more transhumanist horror. With a little modification for your campaign, it could certainly work as a near-future version of what you're looking for. It's quite well written, handled by former CGL affiliated folks, and has some great supporting material around.

I have heard of Eclipse Phase but I was thinking of something closer to a historical/historical-fantasy world.

I know one game in French but it is out of print and I never had the chance to take a closer look at it.

GURPs would probably be a good way to go then, as it is flexible and has a wealth of setting books to back it up.

I know, shame on me but still my interest lies there for now (Great Discoveries, spice trade...).

If you find the right GURPS supplement, it could be interesting.

Are you looking for a existing world? or create your own. I know a (IMO) great fantasy RPG. You could use the core rules and create your own world, or even port over an existing world. The price was right for me. FREE!

I think its a great game. I am trying to get set up to do a play by post there as well. I'm further along with the play by post that I want to do here.anyways take a look. Ask your questions on the forum. My name is jackel there.

I probably won't pop up there.  Fantsay Roleplaying is like my first girlfriend, I still think she is kinda of cute, but anything more than a passing nod may cause chaos with my current obsession.
