I was talking about this tragedy with Mike CJ over on the CBT forums and it really doesn't seem that long ago when we were working on BattleTech together. Seems like just yesterday when his Black Tigers entered BattleTech Shattered Dawn with a vengeance. I can't say how much his novelizations and input immeasurably added to this unique alternate setting. Fifteen years, where does the time go? I'll miss you Bruce and for as long as I enjoy BattleTech your Black Tigers will occupy a place of honor. Rest in peace.

This is what I posted on the CBT forums:

I'm shocked and so very sad to read this news. Sadly, we hadn't talked in years. I'm thankful and grateful that he let me be a part of his Black Tigers. His stories are something I will always treasure. He will be missed.

This was a gut punch when I read it. It still hasn't sunk in that he's passed. He will live on, here in his works and in our memories.

Really sad to see this, have posted on the BT forum as well, really enjoyed his work and had some good chats about stuff, condolences to all who knew him.

I missed this, all I can say is crap. I really enjoyed the stories and the collaboration at times also annoyed I missed the original post.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

It's still shocking today nearly a year later but we are moving on with BTA in our hearts. Currently working on a Terran project with the Black Tigers as memorial to someone who gave so much.
