English have a reputation for being eccentric.

And the difference between being mad or being eccentric, is the balance of your bank account.  That said, these two a certifiably nuts.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

I guess you would put mad people in the low bank account category, wouldn't you?

Always.  That's why I will be stark raving mad until I win the lotto and can retire comfortably eccentric.

A Few interesting results from the weekend and a desperate attempt to get you all to stop dicussing soccer.  Don't you know that thanks to me, Rugby is now the dominant sport in BT....no really, you can trust me...

Anywhoo, Irish fall to the Barbarians, never a good start toa campaign, unlike the Poms, although they did not play too well.  Still first game rust can be called for any side for thier first hit out of the season.  The Welsh put a royal scare up the South Africans (34-31), showing that domainant S14 form does not automatically translate to immidiate International dominance, although it helps.  Australia dusted the Fijians 49-3, in what was a pretty dull game.  The pack needs serious work, we have now lost 4 of our best 5 front rowers, the loosies were scatteded, the half back needs to be dropped to club rugby (thank god Genias back), however from 10-15 and the back reserves, showed that Australia may well have the dominant and most dangerous back line by next years world cup.

Still, early days and the English next week will be a real test for the forward pack.  Any of you English want to wager a beer on the game?  Cold beer that is!

Luckily for the Fiji, otherwise what would have been the result?  :P

Alright, that it, just beacuse we have a front row just out of daycare does not mean that we wont spank you like a pack of squealing pigs.

I admit, it will be very tough up front, but if out pack can get 40%-50% possession, expect a 20+ point win to Australia.  Your pack can't just be better, they have to dominate, or its all over.

If they play like they did in the 2007 1/4 final, we are cactus, anything less and we will run you off the park.

Also - If your a Union fan, head over to the Off Topic boards and BT and through your support into the QLD Origin Plans Reveald Thread.  The League players seen to have this notion that League is bigger than Union.  Silly, silly Leaguies.

I wasn't baiting them...honest!

I just saw that South Africa won over France 42-17 in the first test match.

Anyone saw the game?

What me rub it in...never.

That said, Englands pack were massivly dominant at scrun time.  However, they were not so at the breakdown or off the line out.  Australia's backs were pretty rampant, which all adds up to a big game next week.

The Irish were embarrassed 66-39 by NZ.  One red card and a yellow against the AB's and thats the ball game.  Scoring 39 points though, not a bad effort.

The Safas looked pretty complete from kick off and blew the French away all over the park.

Also the NZ Maori v NZ Barbarians was a pretty good game to watch too.

So who was it that owed me a beer?  Make sure you post it wrapped in ice...
