So i'm off to my first live game of the season tomorrow, Albion v Munster in the British & Irish cup, i am hoping for 2 things (1) a good win (as having seen the team sheet it looks like we're taking it seriously for a change) and (2) it doesn't rain as i'm taking one of my old mates to her 2nd ever game.

Just got in from the game, good to see both teams keeping the ball on the ground in the blustery showers the match was played in, final score Albion 22 - Muster 26.

So under 20's Six Nations was a great game with a final Score of England 15 Scotland 6.

Also the full Six Nations started yesterday with wins for Ireland, who looked less than convincing in the 2nd half nearly loosing to a resurgent Wales in Cardiff and England who played well against a Scotland side who look to be competing to avoid the wooden spoon again.

Italy - France : 23 - 18
France was not efficient and the Italians were more pragmatic and able to hold under the French pressure.

With Italian and Irish wins, the competition becomes much more interesting.

True enough, Scotland are going to have to go some now to avoid the wooden spoon.

Ireland had its good times too.

Latest update:

Scotland - Italy: 34 - 10
The Italians were no where to be seen and had troubles dealing with the Scottish defence.

France - Wales: 6 - 16
Not a really inspiring match. I guess both teams feared losing but Wales managed to punch through the French line one time at 10 minutes from the end of the game.

Ireland - England: 6 - 12
England was impressive in defence and the Irish never really managed to deal with them.
If you had the injuries of 2 key people and O'Garra missing one penalty, you understand the whole match better.
England was strong in defence, really pragmatic and efficient but not really inspiring (at least for me).

Awful weather in Dublin but good win for England, Scotland were the most impressive team of the weekend.

I agree and I forgot to talk about the rainy side of this game.
Good win for England? Yes for the points and for their defence but not really for their offensives (although they almost managed a try).

Italy - Wales: 9 - 26
Italy was not really organised and no where to be seen.
Wales had no troubles punishing it.

England - France: 23 - 13
A few strikes of French flair managed to give the people watching the game some illusions but the English were more solid and precise.

Scotland - Ireland: 12 - 8
I didn't see that one but it seems that after being dominated in the first half, Scotland managed to win the game after being able to hold against the Irish offensives.

My thoughts from the weekend - STUPID BLOODY WATATAHS!

Supported them for 31 years and still no trophy.

Ireland had 80% of the ball v Scotland but instead of playing the percentages kept trying to run into the Scottish strengths.
