They don't look convincing yet.  Their set piece was wobbly and it took them 65 minutes to start putting away a Fiji side that made tactical errors  times out of ten with what the did.  They will have to imrpove markedly to put Wales and Australia away.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

As an American I expect the American side to not advance out of pool play after only managing just one win (vs Japan) in pool play. This isn't our game ..... yet :)

Yeah, wasn't the most impressive display, but at least it's 5 points on the board and hopefully we'll have improved greatly for the Wales game next weekend.

Sounds about right, mind you as a nation you seem to be embracing a proper sport at last  ;)

There's a quasi-professional club team about 75 miles away from me, but Rugby viewing is extremely limited as opposed to the availability of American football or real football.

Good time to do it.

I've had a cracking day rugby wise today, went to Albion and watched them beat Fylde 31-24 and now England are beating Wales.

Wales beat England. Best result for us was a draw, but this is pretty good as well. A young English side under massive pressure and with some clear weaknesses for us to have a go at. If we can beat England and the Welsh manage to survive the physical Fijians (not a given), then we will play a Welsh side now decimated by injury for top spot in the pool.

But they tried to play. They could have gone for a draw but tried to score (and failed).

Stupid really, should have kicked the 3 and at least taken the draw, we have to beat the Aussies now next Saturday.

Yeah i still think he should have kicked it, mind you maybe it was on his mind that Farrell was no longer on the pitch, who I feel would have kicked it.
