Good start by England, hopefully run our way through the competition this year and use it to win the World Cup in the autumn.

Who wins tonight Takiro, Rams or Patriots?

Good question, my prediction is this is Brady's last Super Bowl (his first being against the Rams) as the now Los Angeles based franchise wins on a last second FG 34-31!

Well my prediction was way off this year unless Brady never makes it back to another Super Bowl. Nostradumbass!

So hear that this is the second weekend of the Six Nations Tourney, how's it going?

A buddy at work said I could find it on NBC Sports but I still haven't looked.

Here is a link for those interested!

Scotland - Ireland : 13-22
The game from last week had taken its toll on the Irish list of players as a lot of valuable players were not there but in the Ireland won even if it took them a full half game to do so as they lost their mastermind during the first half (and Scotland lost a good player too).
The main thing is that they managed to keep an efficient defence and changed their play during the second half, something the Scots didn't managed to find a way around.
Scotland was  impressive in the fight but made too many mistakes and was not accurate enough to get through the green line.

Italy - Wales: 15-26
I am not convinced by the Welsh. Their game was messy and not really accurate. The Italians managed to stay close for the first 60 minutes but then lost any hope of getting close.

Tomorrow: England-France...

England - France: 44-8

30-8 at the end of the first half and it seems England didn't play that hard in the second half (but who would have?).
France was completely dominated in all the different aspects of the game. England played a precise rugby (the kicks made over and over again followed by a rush on the defending player) with only a few hand mistakes in the second half that prevented the score to be even worst for France.

I didn't see last week-end games (I had other things to do) but ...

France - Scotland: 27-10
On the one side, the youngest ones and on the other one a team with too many injured players for its own good.

Wales-England: 21-13
The biggest surprise for me when I looked at the results.
The Welsh stubbornness paid and they found the way to counter the English tactics and to get through the defence.

Italy-Ireland: 16-26
Not a good game. Italy managed to play and be in the lead for the first half but a game is played in two halves.

The next two rounds of games should be interesting as only Wales can try to get the Grand Slam and depending on their results, three teams can win the tournament (Wales has 12 points, England 10 and Ireland 9).

You missed my update? Well I missed the games too (this year is not that great for my 6 Nations viewing time but it doesn't matter) but I will see the last games tomorrow.

Wales - Scotland: 18-11
Wales won thanks to a good first half (15-6) and to its capacity to hold in the second half time (it seems Scotland was not as realistic as they should/could have been).

England - Italy: 57-14
The difference was too high between the two teams (England had the offensive bonus (4 tries scored) in just 30 minutes) but it seems Italy showed some offensive efficiency in its two tries.

Ireland - France: 26-14
In spite of the score, France didn't show anything and scored two tries in the last minutes but Ireland gave the impression they could score when they wanted and after 60 minutes, the key offensive people were already put to rest while the team seemed to slow down in the second half.

Three teams can still win but for me, it will be either Wales (if they win against Ireland) or England (as even if Ireland wins its game, Scotland would have to win in England for them to become champions).

And today was the final day for this year 6 Nations

Italy-France: 14-25
The result is not so clear as it appears. Italy managed to get through the line 5 times but didn't score any points there. France just hold and hold and suffered until the last minutes where they managed to get a try.

Wales-Ireland: 25-7
A quick try at the beginning, excellent defence and discipline made the day for the Welsh team to score a Grand Slam. The Irish team was never able to do anything, something was not there.

England-Scotland: 38-38
The best and craziest game of the day.
England scored 31 points in the first half-hour and I thought at the half-time that at 31-7 the game was done. Scotland was not the same during the second half-time (and perhaps England was too arrogant too) but they almost beat England and made they suffer during the whole second period. The English came back after the 80 minutes mark with a try.
This shows what Scotland could have done this year without the many injuries suffered by its players.

The final results are:
1. Wales 20 points (and Wales becoming 2nd ranked country in the World Rugby Ranking instead of Ireland)
2. England 18 points
3. Ireland 14 points
4. France 10 points
5. Scotland 9 points
6. Italy 0 points

Scotland and Italy deserved more points than that and I think that France in the 4th position is way above its real display in this year tournament.

I did miss your update and with our BattleTech event we missed out on seeing the last of this year's six nations.

I heard Wales pretty much had it locked up going into this week as Ireland would have had to have won in order to give England a chance and that was not going to happen.
