Yep, degrees C.  Not the hottest I have played in, but pretty close.  The up side is that it takes only half a beer to be truly relaxed after the game.

Now to sit back and watch the semis of the Adelaide 7's.  Aussies in the semi v Samoa, with the two big upsetters USA and Argentina in the other.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

Wish we had a little of that heat here, the Albion game was played in light rain, high winds and a temp of 5c.

Last results.
I will not comment on them as I could not watch them (being away).

Wales-Italy: 33-10
Ireland-Scotland: 20 - 23
France-England: 12-10

And the winner is France.

Mmmmmm, that was funny.  Saturday training session at 1pm in 28 C heat, no wind.  Two Scotsmen, a Duchy and a Pommy all wilted like flowers in a blast furnace.  Nothing like playing for Byron Bay and seeing the culture shock set right in.

Good thing too, as the Cezch with very limited language skills we had last year had a stutter as well. Won most improved award though, must have absorbed it with all the beer we gave him.

Define TOUGH.

Get tackled and take a it to the head and proceed to have a fit on field.

Get carried off.

Have precautionary scan the following day that reveals a brain tumor.

You have a 2 hour operation, 2 months of radiation and six months of chemo

You will never play again

18 months later you make it back into the Super 14 to take up you old place at fullback.

You play a blinder.

And away we go.

Byron Bay RUFC 12 def. The Gentlemen of Murwillumbah RUFC 12-5 in the first match of the year.

Always nice to start the year with a win and better yet in welcoming a club back to competition, that has been out of commisiion since 1915.

Describe Pleasure.

Defeating you rivals from uo the road for the first time in club history. 7-0.  Go the Bay!

P.S. English players are nuts.  We have two this year and they make Hannibal Lectur look balanceed and stable.

Well, when Luis tried to eat the opposition flankers face for a late hit, it was something that one classes as an interesting moment.  Then scotty lost it.  Wow is all I can say.
