Australian Rules - now there's a game...c'mon St.Kilda - you want blood, broken teeth and acrobatics, non-stop, and the doctors have to come on and remove the players 'cos they're interfering with the game...or at least that happened in the last game I watched at the MCG... 8)

Love watching Aussie Rules to, it gets show on EuroSport over here.

Aussie Rules is the only game, I think, which still does not allow fouls or poor play to stop the game. They watch the game, take notes and punish the players after ;D

Shoulders, forearms and knees are just part of the game. I reckon it's the best full-contact game going to watch live...maybe ice-hockey's up there, but it's too bloody cold ;)

The next peron who mentions AFL, or aerial ping pong, in a rugby thread will be severly punished.

Well okay then... How in the hell am I to know that AFL is that revolting to those of the rugby persuasion?  ;) I'm just a silly Yank who thinks American Football is a great sport. ::)

I'm still waiting for some help as to where I can find televised rugby here in the states, especially of the Six Nations and other international tournaments. I've never seen it played and I'm curious about the sport. I know I can find rules and such online, but that is quite different than watching the game itself. ;)

If you go to www.irb.com you will find alot of stuff there, especially through the IRB show Total Rugby.  I think ESPN is showing the 6 nations this year.  Here in AU there is intense competition between AFL, Union and Rugby League, which is a watered down version of Rugby Union for those with IQ's lower than 40 (yes I am very arrogant about my game).

This rivalry over the limited player base has given rise to several, less than savory terms, for those of the other two codes.

it's hard enough finding fellow footballers to watch a match with.

It's soccer for you now :P

Yeah. After the weekend's disappointment we could use another boost. I mean to have such a wonderful run and then to tie with Wigan hurts my heart...

Still, Meireles is wonderful. A real trooper. He's done a lot for the club in such a short period.

Gah...it's still football - foot+ball, it's got nothing to do with socks :P Anyway, there's only a couple of places, ahem, where it's called the "S" word.

Oh, and I love Liverpool too, 35million £'s worth. Will Ashley give the Toon some of his ill-gotten gains? Unlikely >:(

I got a choice...watch it on the UK Dish or watch it on local Spanish TV. If Arsenal are winning, then it'll be on local TV, just to hear the excuses ::)

Unfortunately it's Barca... :'( Pep Guardiola did say that he would rather watch the Gunners than play them. I'm sure Wenger feels the same ;D
