I think the lack of interest in soccer (what a sad name for this sport) and in the last World Cup, just shows where most people here come from  ;D

It was a disappointing World Cup. Germany eliminated in the group stage and Spain, Portugal and Brazil playing abysmally. In the end I was hoping for a Belgium-Croatia final just to see someone win it for their first time.

I suppose we would never have heard from Ice if a certain country didn't win it all?  ;)

Actually I did watch a few games including England and Uruguay which was so ugly. Flop-tastic!

I was shocked that Germany, Argentina, and Brazil were knocked out so early plus I won't lie America not being in it did not help the interest level here. I guess we qualify next time automatically as a host country but FOX did broadcast every game in English in the states something that I don't think was ever previously done.
