There was a news article on another site for a new book called
Science Fiction Hobby Games: A First Survey. Apparently, this book analyses the history of a number of tabletop and RPG sci-fi universes. (There's a
table of contents on the publisher's website;
BattleTech is listed as one of the wargames covered, alongside currently-supported titles like
Star Fleet Battles, and now-defunct games like
Renegade Legion.)
Interestingly enough, the front cover shows a series of different-sized star clusters, each meant to represent a certain game setting; one of which (the one featuring Terra, no less) is marked as the Inner Sphere itself.
Has anyone here heard of this book, or has any idea as to how it portrays the games listed therein (such as
BT and
SFB)?
