Everybody ready for the weekend?

What will the season bring? Who will be the Champions, Top 4 predictions, who's going down?

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts. Here are mine:

Champions: A Manchester Club  ;D ;D ;D ;D (Probably United if they get RVP  >:( >:( >:( >:( )

Top 4: Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea  (Newcastle Top 6 :D :D :D)

Going down: West Ham, West Brom and QPR (Yeah I know that Wigan are always there or there abouts, but they just signed Koné and he was awesome for Levante last season. If Wigan can score some goals, they'll stay up  ;) )

Top Scorer: Sergio Aguero (Rooney and RVP will have to share the goals  :D :D :D)

Right, let me know what you think.

Cheers

Champions - Man City

Top 4 - City, Chelski, the scum (united) & arsenal.

(Liverpool 6th)

Relegated - West Brom, QPR and Reading.

Oh and Argyle to have an univentfull season (for the 1st time in ages) and finish in mid table in League 2.

We pretty much coincide (if we're both right it means the Toon finish 5th again ;D)

I thought about Reading, but I think that they may be a surprise package, a bit like Southampton. Watched some of their games last season and they both played good football. Like it that we agree on QPR though!

Hope Plymouth do have an uneventful season and do better than you expect.

Okay, first weekend over and I'm sticking with my predictions even though ManU lost and Arsenal drew.

West Brom looked good  :-[, but West Ham scraped it and QPR were the pants ;D

The Toon deservedly won, although Pardew needs a slap round the head >:( Demba Ba has definitely not forgotten how to score goals ;)

...and Liverpool.... :o

Football? It seems they begin playing it again but I doubt it will be really exciting over here.

Gah West Brom still looking good. West Ham now have Andy Carroll on loan, so maybe they´ll play to his style. His mate Kevin Nolan is there so maybe he'll keep out of trouble and score some goals???

QPR are trying to buy themselves out of trouble, I reckon Hughes must be reading our thread and agreed with us ;)

Chelsea still on 100% and if Liverpool don't hurry up and get more points, they'll be entering the danger zone for real :o

Best of all though, the Toon qualified for Europa Cup Group stages last night ;D

+1

I'm not sure how well Carroll will play after his trade – not like he was playing well before... Still, if he does score some goals I doubt that'll endear him any better with Reds fans.

I still think you're right about ManU and Arsenal. I think they're just off to a slow start. Maybe all those fat paychecks are slowing their players down???

I'm very interested to see how far the Toon goes, and how mediocre the Spurs campaign is likely to be.

Pardew is already moaning about injuries, so I hope the Toon don't dilute their efforts with their European run. At least Asheley has got the finances right and we should be able to establish ourselves with the squad we have.

I think maybe Carrol getting a hamstring injury is a sign that whilst his move to West Ham was good for him, his luck still hasn't changed.

As for Liverpool, it seems that Brendan Rodgers is already arguing with the owners. He has a couple of good young players but he needs a striker...and he does have an option to call Carroll back in January. Won't that be a crawl down if he does?

Chelsea might not be able to sustain their run...look at the hammering they got from Atletico Madrid, and now there are rumours of Chelski buying Falcao in January.

Van Persie has started like a train and Rooney injured. Will Rooney have a spot when he recovers?

It's shaping up to be an exciting season.

Van Perie came off with an injury when playing for Holland on tueday, not sure how bad it is.

But most import in the news this week, the hillsborugh report came out and after 28 years it has been shown that the liverpool fans were not responsible for the loss of 96 lives, the police covered up their negligence by altering 116 whitness statements. Also the ambulance service changed a number of statements that shows if a proper response had been mounted 41 of the 96 could have been saved!

Hopefully the correct people will now be brought to justice.

We'll see. Still no apology from some Hillsborough officials. Not that I'm surprised.

That said, taking Carrol back wouldn't make much of a difference unless he had a stellar time as a trade. Taking him back without a thing to show for it makes him dead weight again. We need another Suarez-type striker. Someone who could build a good forward pair.

IMO of course...

Not looking good for my predictions after 10 games, apart from the top ;)

West brom 5th :-[
West Ham 9th  :o
QPR 19th  ;D

Newcastle 10th but 3 points off 4th so fingers crossed there  ;D

Reading and Southampton make up the rest of the bottom three, so someone is doing better than me in predicting the relegation zone ::)

So Demba Ba has moved on and is now with Chelsea FC and scored twice in his first game for the Blues.
