And a bit more teaser.

2781   September 22
A disgruntled Amaris soldier (related to one of the Dragoons that Nicholas Kerensky killed in Moscow in 2778) recognizes the “Kerensky brat and his bitch.” Unaware that this is a Cameron he is assaulting, Laurence Torres kills a nearby SLDF guard and takes his weapon. Intent on killing the two, he snaps off several shots. Major Macintosh takes several shots aimed at the group (both Kerensky and Cameron heirs are present), sacrificing his life to save the children of Richard and fulfilling his most important duty as an officer of the Royal Black Watch. Andery Kerensky shows extreme cool under pressure and puts down the gunman with his own cadet sidearm. While all but Andery are wounded, none of the injuries are life-threatening. Nicholas will suffer from lingering issues from his damaged left leg, which limits his capability in further military service.

2781   December 19
With little explanation, the Cameron heirs inform Kerensky and Blake that they have a few final preparations to take care of, before the two Operations can go into effect. They refuse security personnel and state only that they will return to North America in early February. Unbeknownst to the rest of the cabal, the Cameron heirs spend some time visiting a few secret SLDF locations that Major Macintosh had made them aware of during his training in the early years of the occupation. They also spend some time with the Belters, apparently having a few medical procedures undertaken by the unusual space-dwellers of the Terran system.

2781   February 20
Ian and Amanda Cameron return, organizing the fateful meeting that would come to be known as the Homecoming. Meeting in a secured industrial warehouse converted into an operations center, the Homecoming took place in New York City, North American Territory. For two days, the twins presented information that was held back from even the highest ranking officers of the SLDF. It was information and plans held in trust by the Royal Black Watch and the family of the First Lord. Revealing that Jonathan Cameron had ordered exploration fleets to map out the Deep Periphery, and that Mother Jocasta had continued preparations for Deep Periphery colonization through an alliance with the Belters. Utilizing the fleet assets of the SLDF and Belter assistance, the SLDF would follow a pre-planned path to a series of moderately habitable worlds in the Deep Periphery. One Cameron heir would travel with the Exodus fleet and assist to build a prosperous society in the new “Kerensky Cluster.” The other heir would remain on Terra, working with Jerome Blake to ensure Terra's survival in the dark times ahead. Working together, separated by distance, the SLDF would rebuild and plan for their eventual return to free the Hegemony from the grips of the hell the House Lords would undoubtedly unleash on the Inner Sphere. Slightly shaken at the twins foresight and planning acumen, the cabal comes to a consensus and agree to the plans and to keep the Cameron line's survival a secret until the twins feel it is best revealed.

2781-2784
Plans for the two operations continue, while Kerensky tours the Inner Sphere in a feint to draw the House Lords back to Terra to resurrect the Star League. This buys time for the two operations to continue developing under a veil of secrecy, as well as to find additional resources for both plans. By mid 2782, the House Lords have agreed to give Jerome Blake responsibility over the reconstruction of Terra, still unaware of the games being played out behind the scenes.

2785   February 14
The Exodus plan is presented to the SLDF command staff. No one is made aware of the Camerons or Operation Silver Shield beyond the immediate members of the cabal.

2785   July 8
Operation Exodus begins, with far more resources, personnel, and fleet ships than expected. The 10% of the SLDF that did not go remained behind to assist Jerome Blake, at Kerensky's insistence. Amanda Cameron joined her husband, Nicholas Kerensky, and his family on the Exodus. Ian Cameron remained behind, working alongside Jerome Blake, as the two became fast friends.

2785   November 5
The Exodus fleet leaves the Inner Sphere from the New Samarkand system, never to be seen again.

2785-2787
Jerome Blake and Ian Cameron plan and implement the birth of ComStar, the upcoming Operation Silver Shield, and the creation of ComStar's neutrality. Silver Shield is the first step of the larger Operation Holy Shroud (the overall long-term plan to regain the Hegemony), and has been expanded to included several worlds near Terra. With Belter assistance, some hidden reserves of resources, and Ian Cameron's skill at irregular operations, the pair have managed to convince several former Amaris regiments and mercenary regiments to side with them. This allows for greater forces than initially anticipated, meaning that more than just Terra can be reclaimed. The initial plan is to reclaim and protect Terra, New Earth, Rigil Kentarus, and Caph.

It could be a reversal of who started the Clans. Plus if they succeed those planets could form the basis of a Comstar Protectorate or Freehold.

Next portion.

2786   August 19
Prinz Eugen revolt occurs. General Kerensky requests that Amanda Cameron reveal her presence, but she still argues that the most appropriate time has yet to arrive. Andery Kerensky works alongside Major Elizabeth Hazen during the assault on the ship, feeling responsible as it was his poorly communicated intentions that led to the armed stand off. He impresses several SLDF officers with his performance alongside the marine forces, which goes a long way to increase his respect amongst the senior officers of the fleet. At Colonel Absalom Truscott's recommendation, Andery begins training in a variety of military duties at this point in time. Nicholas remains isolated and aloof with his wife, working on his “Great Work” manifesto.

2787   August 24
The Exodus fleet arrives at the Pentagon worlds, exhausted and wary of the growing military junta that seems to be leading the former Hegemony citizenry. While colonization begins quickly, Nicholas and Amanda meet with General Kerensky and the rest of the remaining cabal members. They present their findings of exploration fleet surveys of the nearby Kerensky Cluster. The couple lay out a plan for developing two groups of colonies, both of which will benefit from the eventual secure trade routes with Terra and the Belter material support. It will spread out the population, but still allow for a distributed base of operations for future growth. The cabal simply feels exhausted of dealing with the “mysterious mumbo-jumbo” of the elder Kerensky son and his wife, and agree to the plan to spare future arguments. As a final request from Nicholas, Kerensky dispatches a courier flotilla to return to Terra and set up the first protocols for a communications relay with their home world.

2787-2796
The Pentagon Worlds and Kerensky Cluster both grow and evolve, though communications between the two is limited for the opening years of this period. The Pentagon worlds find much less homogeneous settlements being founded, often leading to nationalized districts and regions that fall along old cultural lines. Tensions rise, even as the colonies grow and expand. Communications with the Terran Protectorate are established, and bi-yearly courier runs are established until a more permanent solution is found. The Terran Protectorate rebuilds, seeking to re-establish as much of the Hegemony's former prosperity and technological edge as quickly as possible.

2788   June 25
Operation Silver Shield begins. All HPG transmitters are shut down, and the military forces loyal to Jerome Blake (and indirectly, Ian Cameron) take control of the four target systems. With the Successor States already in the throes of the 1st Succession War, the initial black out went unnoticed for a short period of time. By the time the HPG network was operating again, Blake had already secured his targets and prepared detailed documentation to show his right to undertake such an action. His “necessary evil for the safety and security of the Terran reconstruction effort” speech is sent out over the HPG network, which plays well with local populaces who had just witnessed the Hegemony worlds shattered under the Amaris Empire. While the Successor Lords privately fume, they see no easy way to reclaim these worlds currently, particularly without causing unrest in their own populations. They return to their normal course of attempting to destroy one another, leaving the newly christened Terran Protectorate alone for the time being.

2790-2795
Blake and Cameron begin the slow restructuring of ComStar, moving it away from both the militaristic mentality of the former Star League Defense Force and
skirting the edges of the more religious overtones preached by influential members like Conrad Toyama. This long-term plan, which involves organizing the structure of the First Circuit and laying the groundwork for a “conspiracy within a conspiracy.” Cameron (and his inevitable family, as he was married to Janine Schwepps in 2794) would need to be kept secret, but still retain a guiding hand in the organization. He assumed his new identity as Michael Dupreas, visibly becoming a part of Blake's inner circle. This did not sit well with the more zealous members such as Toyama, but Blake walked a careful line to keep things in line. The creation of ROM, an intelligence organization and internal security force (with Michael Dupreas as its first head), also helped to keep other more radical elements of ComStar in check through manipulation and deceit.

2801   May 5
After months of unrest, the Pentagon worlds explode into violence when former Capellan nationals declared independence from the new Star League and claimed weapons from supply caches. General Kerensky ordered Dechavilier to put down the rebellion. This action ended in tragedy when General Dechavilier was killed by the rebels after ejecting from his Atlas. The SLDF troops tore through the rebels, leaving most of the settlement a ruined mess. Tensions all across the Pentagon worlds increased, and open civil war loomed on the horizon as news of the “Dechavilier Massacre” leaked out. Barely able to keep a handle on things, the tired and broken man that was formerly the great General Kerensky was failing in his duties. Andery Kerensky secretly sends a brief message to an undisclosed location in the Kerensky Cluster, “It's time.”

2801   June 1
Less than a month later, a number of settlements have risen up in armed rebellion against “Kerensky's corrupt authority.” The SLDF command staff is left leaderless, as Kerensky seems to waver between rage and confusion. On this morning, his sons and daughter-in-law greet him and the command staff, presenting their daring plan to end this violence quickly and permanently. Individually, no one would have taken the word of “frightened Cameron child, a crazy mystic living in the woods, or Kerensky's junior officer son.” As a group, they faced the aging staff of the SLDF and provided an elegant and unorthodox solution.

2801   June – July
Over the next two months, Amanda Cameron begins visiting rebelling settlements as a negotiator. Upon meeting with the leadership, she reveals her true identity along with accompanying proof. She gives the (later famous) “Hidden Hope” speech, and promises that cooperation is the only viable option. The first few settlements that threatened violence against the Cameron heir quickly discovered that she was not alone. Protected by Nighthawk equipped special operation troops under the command of Colonel Hazen and now-Major Andery Kerensky, she was easily protected by heavy sniper fire and pin-point accurate artillery fire and air strikes. After razing two entire violent settlements to the ground, word of the “compassionate warrior-princess” began to spread. With Nicholas' supporting media campaign, Amanda began to preach a new path that the two colonial groups must forge as one. This media campaign grew to become the foundation for the Hidden Hope doctrine.

2801-2815
Amanda Cameron moves through the process of taking a leadership role over the “Star League-in-exile.” Her charisma wins over many, while critics find themselves facing Nicholas' keen political mind or Andery's growing military support. General Aleksandr Kerensky eventually retires to a life of reflection and study, leaving his “children” to carry his standard forward. By 2808, all of the Pentagon worlds had ceased any armed conflict, knowing that continued resistance would only result in Lady Cameron releasing her most fearsome weapon: the cold and broken Colonel Hazen and her Blackhearts. By 2812, many of the unusual changes and cultural styles found on the Kerensky Cluster colonies have begun to be implemented on the Pentagon worlds. Individual luxuries are sacrificed in small amounts, to better provide a structure for the common good and the eventual necessary return to restore the Hegemony.

2819   May 11
Jerome Blake collapses during a First Circuit meeting and dies shortly thereafter.

2819-2821
Conrad Toyama and Herman Schwepps begin rallying forces to each of their radicalized views of ComStar, all the while ignoring the power behind the throne. Michael Dupreas unleashes the fully functional arm of ROM to undertake a series of purges amongst both factions. His father-in-law and Toyama are both dead within a year, “killed by the venom their radical policies inspired in their political opponents.” Through careful societal manipulation, Dupreas (Cameron) ensures that portions of each philosophy are incorporated. The mysticism of Toyama helps to ensure the growth of the Cameron Conspiracy while the militarism of Schwepps ensures support for expanding the Terran military industries and the secret creation of ComStar military forces.

2821   April 3
Raymond Karpov, who began his career working alongside Dupreas, is sworn in as Primus. It is only through ROM's influence and actions that this occurs, as Karpov was the least senior of the Precentors eligible. With ROM's hand firmly guiding Karpov, ComStar begins to take their techno-mysticism to heart. This ensures that the Cameron Conspiracy will remain insulated at the center of the power structure. Dupreas' (and by extension, ROM's) power structure grows.

2824   March 5
The final reconstruction projects are finished on the four worlds of the ComStar Protectorate. A massive expansion project of infrastructure and industrial capabilities is begun throughout the ComStar Protectorate, resulting in a wealth of opportunities for Terran businesses to expand. The full extent of the planned expansion is unknown to the public, as work is begun on expanding the Titan and O'Neill Yards (with Belter assistance), along with the creation of two hidden fleet facilities. The plan is estimated to take several decades, but the fleet needs are noted as a priority due to the extreme distance separating the two Cameron factions.

2827
Primus Karpov begins his plans to expand ComStar's reach into the Periphery. While initial costs are high to expand the HPG network, the potential revenue is worth the risk. The First Circuit disagrees, and the first of ROM's major internal purges begins. Those Precentors who find themselves unable to be swayed to Karpov's growing “Blake's Light” movement are removed from their positions through any necessary methods. The Blake's Light movement begins a growth pattern that will lead it to become the guiding philosophy within ComStar, just as the tendrils of light from the HPG network extend outwards. ComStar begins to actively recruit from outside of the Protectorate, finally confident in ROM's ability to police the ranks.

2831   May 29
Lyran Commonwealth levies a tax on ComStar profits within their realm. Karpov pushes for immediate action, knowing that the military forces are not ready for such a threat at this time. Dupreas suggests the first ComStar interdiction, while using all available military forces to ensure the Protectorate worlds remain unmolested.

2832   June 6
The Interdiction continues, until finally the Lyrans agree to reparations for ComStar. This is the first show of strength for ComStar, which only helps to boost morale and membership within the quasi-mystical order. With communications restored, the Commonwealth is finally able to stop hemorrhaging border worlds to DCMS forces.

2834   September 17
First Succession War ends. Last of hostilities ended on this date and the signing of the Peace Accords of Bella I between the Lyran Commonwealth and the Free Worlds League.

2837-2839
The first two newly constructed naval fleets for ComStar undertake two separate operations. Explorer Fleet Trinity heads into the Deep Periphery, beginning to lay the ground work for a network of HPG buoys and data stations, which will allow for communications between ComStar and the SLDF-in-exile. The network will take another decade to complete. Explorer Fleet Grendel investigates lost Hegemony worlds to see what can be recovered. This mission will eventually be extended to explore the Periphery as well, and forms the basis for the Explorer Corps in the near future.

2840
The Golden Century begins for the SLDF-in-exile. Most of the colonies are finally self-sufficient, with a growing industrial base. Work has begun under Amanda Cameron-Kerensky's guiding hand to develop the so called “Iron Wombs” to increase population growth, along with major expansions of military factory complexes. New research centers will begin advancing technology, along with the first constructed McKenna Shipyards over Strana Mechty, the new capital.

2841   December 5
The first resupply fleet reaches Strana Mechty from the ComStar Protectorate. Portions of the partially recovered Prometheus Database are given to the Exiles.

2842   March 18
Aleksandr Kerensky, savior of the Exiles, passes away quietly on his estate on Strana Mechty. He was surrounded by the growing Kerensky and Cameron-Kerensky lines, proud of the legacy he left behind. The day is officially recognized as “the Great Passing.” His 142 years of life are celebrated, and his accomplishments immortalized as if he were a saint.

2842-2843
Amanda Cameron-Kerensky begins the “Coursing.” This massive overhaul of the Exiles bureaucracy leads to a much more centralized power base, and the birth of the two dynasties (Cameron-Kerensky and Kerensky). Many of the families born from significant SLDF soldiers or Hegemony Exiles begin to inhabit the new power structure. Governmental power is now built to resemble a modified version of the former Terran Hegemony.

2844   August 14
Michael Dupreas begins ROM's first Operation Nightfall. This is an operation undertaken by ROM operatives Sphere-wide to ensure that technological development and recovery is slowed throughout the Successor States. Research facilities are sabotaged, researchers assassinated, and rival intelligence agencies are framed to incite further warfare. Dupreas (Cameron) knows that the Successor States must remain distracted to ensure the survival of ComStar and that its plans for Operation Holy Shroud remain secret.

2845   January 23
Second Succession War begins with the DCMS attack on the Tamar Pact. Much like the first Succession War, unrestricted warfare is the rule of the day. The Combine remains unaware that their intelligence (regarding a build-up of Lyran invasion forces in the Tamar region) was falsified by ROM operatives. Within a matter of months, the conflicts rage Sphere-wide.

2850   February 7
The SLDF-in-exile is formally rechristened the Pentagon Compact, and the day is officially dubbed “Second Unity.” The revised government sees its first succession of power, as former Director Amanda Cameron-Kerensky steps down and her firstborn Alexandria Cameron-Kerensky takes over. Andery Kerensky also turns over the title of Commanding General of the Pentagon Compact Defense Force to his daughter Katya. The creators of both the Kerensky and Cameron-Kerensky lines move into the background of the Compact, both choosing to focus on different areas of research and study in their twilight years. Andery moves into teaching and study of military history and technology, while Nicholas and Amanda focus their efforts on a series of political documents describing their vision of a glorious return to Terra and the Hegemony.

2851   October 23
Primus Raymond Karpov steps down, and he recommends Precentor Andrea Marteen as his replacement. The First Circuit agrees, and Karpov passes away from his terminal cancer within a few days. Michael Dupreas turns over control of ROM to his protege, Janice Laidlaw. He quietly retires into a background role with the Terran Research Consortium, one of ROM's many puppet corporations.

It's the beginning of the groundwork for the centralized autocratic styles of government found in the canon Clans and the former Terran Hegemony. Even with the important figureheads and lack of the Pentagon War in this AU, the time after settling the Cluster/Pentagon worlds had to be pretty wild and open. This is the first steps to scale that back, cut out bureaucratic fat, and lay the ground for what the Hegemony once had: ostensibly, a government with democratic representation, but in reality a dynastic regime that centralized power to a few key positions/departments.

The second part refers to Andery Kerensky's line and the Amanda Cameron/Nicholas Kerensky line spawning prodigiously. That's the beginning of those two dynasties, which will factor in later. The Dupreas (Ian Cameron, the other twin hiding in ComStar) line will eventually reclaim their name as the Dupreas-Cameron line, but that doesn't happen for some time yet.

Of course, it would be wrong of me to not initially take advantage of these three separated dynasties and cause some internal conflicts in the future. :D

2860   November
Oriente HPG destroyed. ROM's “war” against the FWL begins, and the 2nd Interdiction is begun.

2861   December
FWL gives up a great deal of concessions and reparations to ComStar, and the 2nd Interdiction is finally lifted. Andrea Marteen uses these resources to begin building the Protectorate Militia into a fully-functional military. A few key training academies and corporations receive funds to

2863   March
The Pentagon Compact successfully deploys the first generation of Omnitechnology. Initially restricted to BattleMechs, the research continues. Additionally, the Kufahl Academy of Science opens on Strana Mechty, which leads to new growth in the research sector, particularly for military technology.

2864
A bare-bones network of fleet and supply bases is finally completed in the Deep Periphery, which is dubbed by the Compact as “The Exodus Road”. More regular supply runs and exchanges between the Protectorate and the Compact begin, which leads to a increasing level of technology sharing that benefits both.

2869   November 24
Andery Kerensky dies. A great celebration is undertaken, and his body is immortalized alongside his father, Aleksandr, on board the McKenna's Pride.

2877   November 24
Eight years to the day later, Andery's older brother Nicholas dies in his sleep on Strana Mechty. While he was not as well-recognized as his more martial kin, his relationship with Amanda Cameron and his contributions to the technological evolution of Compact society earns him a place (along with his family name) on the McKenna's Pride.

2890   July
Second Succession War ends. Peace talks between the Successor States fail, but active combat wraps up by the end of the month. Virtually no large scale naval assets remain for any of the Successor States by the end of the conflict, and unrestricted warfare has taken a horrible toll on the overall infrastructure of the various nations. By the end of the conflict, conventional warfare with limited objectives has become the order of the day. The technological problems were exacerbated by the success of ComStar's first Operation Nightfall, which wrapped up several years before this.

2895   March
An Explorer Corps fleet reaches the former Hegemony world of New Dallas, now another dead world casualty of the Succession Wars. After a month spent combing through boneyards and former Hegemony facilities (managing to bring back a significant amount of salvaged designs from the Austin Boneyard), the ComStar research teams discover a lost SLDF facility outside of the graveyard city of Corpus Christi. Inside the facility, they find the Holy Grail of the 30th century; discovering an intact data core holding a copy of the entire Prometheus database. Immediately, the fleet returns with the core to Terra, where it is turned over to the Terran Research Consortium for study.

2900   January 1
Michael Dupreas (Ian Cameron) begins his long journey away from Terra. Having seen his legacy ensured, he wishes to visit his sister Amanda in the Pentagon Compact before his death. A substantial fleet, carrying the Cameron heir and a wealth of supplies and personnel, is assembled from the loyalists of the Cameron Conspiracy. Rumors of Belter medical assistance swirl amongst the fleet, as even loyalists have a difficult time reconciling the twins' advanced age and relative health. The fleet departs from Terra on this date.

2901   October 20
After a long, circuitous route through the Deep Periphery, Ian Cameron's fleet arrives at Strana Mechty. The fleet immediately begins to disperse its bounty throughout the Compact. After two months of R&R, the fleet begins the long journey home, bringing back the technological evolutions recently developed by the Compact. Most importantly, the Protectorate fleet delivers a copy of the Prometheus database to the Compact. A small portion of the fleet remains behind, as Ian Cameron (who reveals his true existence in the Compact) decides to spend some time with his widowed sister.

2902   March 17
Less than six months after Ian's arrival, Amanda Cameron-Kerensky passes beyond the mortal veil. She was 138 at the time of her passing. She choose medically assisted suicide, rather than face the pain of a long-term fight with an incurable auto-immune disorder. Her final moments were spent reminiscing with her beloved brother Ian. She had spent many of her final days with Ian and her growing clan, often building a body of work to be published after her death. This document, later known as the Remembrance, grew to become something of a holy document for the Compact's population.

2902   June 10
Ian Cameron's small fleet finally begins the long journey home, after rumblings from Terra that a possible coupe was underway inside ComStar. Ian sends word to Janice Laidlaw that order and secrecy must be maintained at all costs.

2902   June 30
Dwight Kurstin, a senior Precentor of the First Circuit, assassinates Precentor ROM Janice Laidlaw and Primus Andrea Marteen. Over the course of the next few months, chaos reigns on Terra as loyal ROM operatives try to contain the fight from spreading into the Protectorate or to the ears of the Successor Lords.

2902   December 25
Loyal ROM operative Simone Dupreas (one of Michael Dupreas' grandchildren) finally manages to penetrate the Hilton Head compound and kill the Mad Primus Dwight Kurstin. She prevents the release of details regarding the Cameron Conspiracy, and takes control of Terra with an iron fist as Primus pro-tem. Kurstin was planning to release massive amounts of data throughout the Successor States, confident in the belief that ComStar's technological knowledge was something Jerome Blake would want shared. He believed that the Dupreas family had hijacked the true “Word of Blake” and this was a holy mission inspired by the Founder.

2903   September
The bulk of the ComStar merchant fleet returns from the Compact to Terra. Immediately assessing the situation, their military forces are dispatched to assist Primus Dupreas in continuing the hunt for rebellious elements still loyal to Kurstin's insane philosophy. Within a matter of months, the last of the rebels have been tracked down and eliminated. While HPG service was not interrupted during this conflict, the Successor States intelligence agencies are quite aware that something unusual is occurring within the ranks of ComStar. ROM security is redoubled, and a zero tolerance policy is enforced until Michael Dupreas' return.

2904   April
Ian Cameron (once again, Michael Dupreas, in his home nation) arrives in the Terra system. His health has rapidly deteriorated, but he knows that this civil war must be sorted out and dealt with. He immediately installs Simone Dupreas as Precentor ROM, taking up the Primus pro-tem role himself. He leads the First Circuit through a long series of debates and planning sessions. This conflict forces ComStar to realize that they must possess their own qualified military forces, separate from the ComStar Protectorate Militia. After a month of work, Gregori Hartford is chosen as the new Primus. He was a Loyalist, something that Dupreas needed after Kurstin turned from the Conspiracy.

2904   November 2
Michael Dupreas (Ian Cameron) dies in his study outside of a Terran Research Consortium laboratory. He is honored in a private ceremony amongst loyal members of the Conspiracy, but publicly, he is simply recognized as an influential founding member of the order. He was 140 years old at the time of his passing.

2905   July 22
Operation “Word of Blake” begins. This is a ROM operation undertaken by loyal Cameron Conspiracy members. The heavily restricted “New Dallas Memory Core” is leaked to the Successor States by “rogue” ComStar personnel that are part of the “Word of Blake” faction. They believe that technological information must be shared to save the Inner Sphere from the dark future that Blake forsaw (and has come to pass with the Succession Wars). While ComStar appears to work quite hard at killing many of the members of this splinter group, in reality, this is a calculated plan by ROM. The release of this technology will spur development of the other nations in the Inner Sphere. This will eventually lead to more military development, and keep the House Lords focused on each other. Additionally, this “internal conflict” serves as the most likely explanation for the rumors various intelligence agencies heard of a ComStar Civil War.

2905-2908
Gregori Hartford leads ComStar on a massive public relations tour of the ComStar Protectorate. Knowing that the Protectorate needs to create its own identity, he loosens restrictions on the Protectorate worlds. Limited autonomy is granted, and the Bureau of Terran Affairs expands its role. Officially renamed the Terran Protectorate, the people eventually buy into his plan and set about expanding their own fleet, military, and infrastructure. Limited trade of non-military goods begins with outside nations, and Terran corporations begin to expand out into the larger Inner Sphere in large numbers. ComStar begins to operate independently of the overall Protectorate structure, which allows for the secret development of their own facilities and industries. Large portions of Terra are deeded to ComStar exclusively, and they operate independently of the rest of the system.

Finally closing in on the end of the timeline (it's in sight for a change!). Only about 100 to 140 years left to cover (still nailing down the date I'm picking up active campaigns at). I may actually be at the point of seeking out some writers to deal with the various factions.

Not the biggest Dune fan, so you'll have to explain that one to slow ol' me.
