In Dune there was always plans within plans within plans. You never knew what to expect. The Bene Gesserit and The Guild had Extremely Long Term Plans.

Most do in the end, especially long-term plans. My AU won't be the exception to that rule. This is all just the set up for the massive amount of FAIL! coming down the road. :)
