Quick Question about the Phoenix Battlemech.
« on: June 25, 2010, 03:18:18 AM »

Hi I was not thinking about the Phoenix till Ice Hellion brought it up. What happened to that battlemech after Kerensky conquered the Rim Worlds Republic. Did the Terran Republic inherit them during their Project Phoenix or did Kerensky take them? Or did something else Happen???????????????? ??? ???

They are likely still plying the Rim Worlds but their factory has likely been stripped and moved either by the Lyrans, Terrans, or the SLDF.

Lyran Commonwealth is a good option but what happened to the Phoenix after it?

Yeah, but it's an old, old 'Mech. I doubt Amaris was building them post-Coup and the SLDF probably would have converted the factories to produce SLDF equipment during the 70-72 build up.

I asked this because I tried to redesign it based on TRO 3075 and couldn't do it without losing Jump Jets (or a SRM-2).

Are you saying there is an error in the design as presented Ice?

No, I just say that the description is not complete.

replace all 4 hs and 1 tn of ammo for srm's and 1 ton of armor and u got ur ac/10 packing :) but then again since they get red of the energy weapon I wouldn't be surprized if the srm's are replaced with a pair of med lasers and the ammo is instead used in place of armor removal :)

I looked at MegaMek and to make it work, you have to drop the Heat Sinks and one SRM-2.
