Hey folks! I figured this board needs some lovin too so how about our newest pirates? If you don’t know what I’m talking about take a look here.
http://www.btshattereddawn.com/forums/index.php?topic=353.0I’d like to get your input on this new pirate unit for the BattlTech: Shattered Dawn universe that to be honest just came about as we did the battle. What will happen with these Draconis renegades and Terran smugglers? Will they get along? Who will be the commander? Where will there base of operations be? Will they reach the Periphery? Stay in the InnerSphere? Or will they be put to death?
We want to know what you think! So give us your thoughts on the subject. Thanks again.

At some point I suspect there will be an internal power struggle/coup. Once the Terrans or Combine faction is in control it becomes more iff to me. I'm leaning towards the Terrans wanting to set up camp somewhere towards the Periphery and become bandits, or privateers? Smiley All that loot they took with them ought to help with getting supplies and bribing the right officials. If the Combine faction comes out on top I think they'd opt to target the Draconis Combine somehow. If nothing else to tweak thier nose.

What if the leadership of the 17th Interceptor Wing has knowledge of hidden SLDF refuelling/resupply points?
That gives them a place, or places, to go and potentially base out of.
Note - I am assuming that the SLDF had such bases to they would not have to entirely rely on House facilities to maintain their deployed fleets.

That is a very good possiblity on how they could reach the Periphery in relative quiet fashion. Good idea.
