In My AU Clan Fennec uses the Guardian ECM extensively and just started to experiment with LPS and Null Signature systems. We believe we have to improve our tech and we would gladly use the nova systems. Also the Cephalus in the Prime configuration and an alternate Clan Fennec Configuration would be an excellent addition to our Touman

Yeah, the voice of the article was not meant to have an impact on AUs, but to provide backdrop and elaborating on Canon universe where my personal focus as a fan is.

of course even the official Battletech guys say "whatever works for your game" is good, so Herb will not be sending Cat Ninjas to AU player houses anytime soon.
