Quite a roster

Not a huge DC fan due to some of their terrible choices of late (completely Combine choices mind you) but if you want a character I could make one.  Any restrictions? Era?

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

That would be awesome Dragon Cat! The era is 3052 right after the Clan invasion. I believe we only need Mechasenshi (Mechwarriors) and Hand of Kannon (Vehicle) Crews. Has to be an O5P member (Draconis Combine affiliation) and usually now we are leaning toward female characters because they make up the bulk of the Order's personnel.

Okay I managed to finish my Chapparel Artillery Battery today and also did another Mechwarrior in the Mobile Assault Company (Victor pilot). I will post them when I get home on Monday!

Pilot: Catherine Kennedy b. 3027

Born on the world of Midway Catherine Kennedy it seems was always destined to be a MechWarrior and to join the Order of the Five Pillars.  Born to an abusive drunk of a father and of a mother who was known to be a "lady of the night" who was often visited by visiting DropShip crews.  With a home life that was not what she desired Catherine often stayed out for hours on end hanging around the 14th Galedon Regulars base on Midway.

As she got older Catherine was hired by the base commander as a civilian worker running errands and showing she was useful to the base and the command.  However tragedy struck for Catherine when a DropShip crashed at the Midway Space Centre in 3042 causing the death of the base commander, much of the Fourteenth's command and Catherine's mother killed in a nearby hotel that was caught in the fire.  With a new commander came new rules and the civilian workers were culled Catherine was fired from her job but little did she know she had already impressed with her determination and dedication in her minor job those that mattered.

Catherine felt like she needed to get back into the action but didn't know how instead she got to work in a local coffee shop and remained there for six months until she delivered a coffee in 3043 that changed her life.  Delivered to a O5P recruiter's table Catherine's life changed overnight as she was brought from Midway to a top secret 05P training facility and trained in the ways of the secretive order.  Over the course of the next the next nine years she was schooled in martial arts, sword fighting, Mech piloting and gunnery and the art of seduction.

In 3052 she joined the unit arriving with her GHR-C Grasshopper.

Oh very good Dragon Cat, I will mark her down when I get home. If you'd like to double down on a vehicle commander for the Hand of Lennon that would be fantastic!

Glad you like it Takiro I'd do two if that's ok

Pilot Leon & Roslyn Fortunato b. 3030 - Vector VTOL (x2)

Born on Richmond in the Draconis Combine periphery the Fortunato twins pilots the only known Vector VTOL's in the Inner Sphere.  Exactly where the two gained their VTOLs is unknown but what is known is both joined O5P with their VTOLs and were recommended to the command by an influential member of the Kurita family.

Little is known of their lives on Richmond their mother was a doctor before her death in a landslide in 3045 while their father was a member of the First Sword of Light before his death in a border skirmish with House Steiner in 3049.

Before their transfer to the O5P the two were known for racing each other's VTOLs in the canyons of Richmond as well as using their VTOLs as small delivery vehicles.

Both Vectors are armed with two medium lasers and two small lasers.

Here are the Chaparrals as I call them!

Kiaria Isu – This native of Dieron is an ancient relation to the former Star League State Administrators of the Draconis Combine. Possibly the Order’s foremost artillery expert she served in Ryoken during the Clan Invasion and was only recently recalled to serve with the Hand of Kannon. Accustomed to modified SRM Carriers fitted with Arrow IV Launchers she was chosen to command the newly purchased Chaparral Battery. She continues to demonstrate an ability to fire and move often confusing enemy counter battery fire. Her crew is the only elite rated command in the battery thus far but she is working hard to bring them all up to that status asap.

Akiko Tomanaga – This field artillery commander with the elite Sword of Light and secret adherent of O5P was asked to take to a brand-new Chaparral Missile Artillery Tank along with her gunner and plotter. Unexpected obstacles such as motion sickness and intricate vehicle operations have prevented this crew from being considered anything more than veteran but Tomanaga is determined. Sparring constantly with Syozi’s crew has produced increasingly better results.

Honoka Syozi – A superior vehicle commander with a planetary militia unit along the Davion border Honoka has been asked to adapt to serve in this artillery battery. Her driver and Syozi are continuing to work on their crew chemistry with their new gunner and plotter who excelled in ground based mostly immobile Arrow IV systems. Working with Tomanaga’s crew both are attempting to overcome any unfamiliarity with the operations of the Chaparrals. The competition that both crews have fostered is beginning to pay dividends resulting in a veteran rating most recently achieved.

Heather Sutton – Was part of the Steel Rain battalion of the 7th Amphigean Light Assault Group which specialized in the use of vehicle mounted Arrow IV’s to support fast paced attacks. Bringing her crews’ expertise to the Hand of Kannon was a priority for Commander Isu who luckily had an in with Sutton. While no one is certain while she and her whole crew volunteered for duty converting wholesale to O5P overnight many remain wary. Even though they are natives of the Combine despite their western appearance Sutton’s crew certainly have not made any effort to fit in labelling themselves gaijin.

And a bonus MechWarrior from me this weekend!

Donald Werner – The reach of the O5P is indeed impressive as shown by Mechwarriors like Donald Werner who was up until recently thought to be a loyal member of the Lyran Guard. Called to service with the Sohei he abandoned his post in the Federated Commonwealth and made his way to Soul. The speed at which this elite Victor pilot left his assignment and arrived deep in the Draconis Combine says much about the clandestine abilities of the Order not to mention his undetected infiltration of House Steiner-Davion nearly a decade ago.

Okay folks I just updated my list and over the weekend I talked to a few friends. We are really cooking with gas now. I expect by Saturday to receive the final pilot for the Tennyo from Bradshaw as well as the final infantry commander from Calderon. I know Ice Hellion is nearly done with Hover Lance 2 for the Hand of Kannon so that will be four more vehicle commanders done soon. Just don't know about Daryk and his MechWarrior for the Griffin in Strike Lance 1 because of the main forums being in and out. Hopefully we will know soon. My next project which will take a few days will be the VTOL Company Commander for the Hand of Kannon, so consider that one claimed by me. So 8 characters are in the works by 4 different contributors.

That leaves us with the following open projects for any interested parties to detail if they wish. 11 unclaimed characters remain for the Sohei first public mission. I have grouped some together in hopes of finishing quickly as possible and in these circumstances I think it works well, see the 6 below. Please let us know what you are working on in advance so no one steps on your work. Thanks!

MechWarrior (CGR-3K Charger pilot in Mobile Assault Lance 2)
MechWarrior (Wolf Trap pilot equipped with a C3 Slave)
4 Vehicle Commanders (Hover Lance 3; 2 Saracen and 2 Saladin)
2 Vehicle Commanders (1st Artillery Battery; 2 LT-MOB-25 Mobile Long Tom Artillery - one is company commander the other a close assistant}
Vehicle Commander (1st Artillery Battery; Ballista Self-Propelled Artillery Tank)
2 Vehicle Commanders (2nd Artillery Battery; 2 Thumper Artillery Vehicles)

P.S.
I will updating the unit roster for the Sohei on page 1 of this thread so everyone who wants to can keep track. ;)

I will do it here.

Alex Booth is a veteran of several combats against both the Lyran Commonwealth, the Ronins and the Clans and always in a hovercraft unit making with speed what they lacked in raw holding power. Having requested to be enlisted again at the end of his 2 former periods after his honourable discharges, he was sent by the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery to the Sohei as the Coordinator wanted veteran soldiers loyal to the Dragon to help officering the unit.
Not the brightest tactician, “Evocatus” (as he was nicknamed by Viktoria Wightman) is strict in exercising and keeps proper discipline among his unit. He still needs to find how to cope with the different individualities that make his lance, how to turn them into a team while making the best use of each one of them.

Viktoria Wightman is what can be called an armchair general. In spite of not going through any formal military education, she is a practitioner of wargames since an early age. She studied every information she could find on the Clans to help them being vanquished. This focus earned her the nickname of « Hachiman Â» as she was seen by some as the future protector of the Samurais in their fight against the invaders.
In spite of her readings and gaming, Viktoria Wightman has not been prepared to face the horrors of war and she is growing afraid of the consequences of her plans on the battlefield, a fear that slows her down. Assigned to Alex Booth’s lance, she is being slowly eaten by a sense of failure and this in spite of the work done by her commanding officer that has been assigned the mission to give her and the other recruits some experience and to “blood” them.

Y.T. Hiro was the best virtual swordmaster in the whole Draconis Combine. This is until one day during Operation Revival, she met someone with as much inner strength as her, an unknown Smoke Jaguar Warrior. When they were about to draw their swords after hours facing each other, the network went down. Frustrated, Y.T. Hiro decided to try to find this Warrior and to settle one and for all who the best swordmaster is.
Turning to whoever would accept her, she was rejected by the military as she lacked the proper training and was only focusing on her revenge. Frustrated, she decided to find someone who would train her and found her way towards the Order of 5 Pillars who was in the middle of their recruiting for their Sohei unit. Because of her lack of experience, she was assigned to Alex Booth’s lance who had to make her focus all her anger and skills on the hovercraft and working with others. Unwilling to fight at distance, she was delighted when she realised that her Plainsman “Snow Crash” can only fight at closer ranges where she can focus and feel her opponents just like she did in her virtual duels.

Son of civilian technicians working as private contractors for the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery, Zmeu Făt-Frumos lost them at an early age during a raid by Ronins during the battles of the Ronin Wars. Raised by a relative, he was a troubled teenager unable to decide if he wanted to avenge his parents or forget all about it. This led him to run away from everything and to become a racing pilot in the hovercraft competition.
After disaster strikes with his car being completely destroyed for the 3rd time in the same season, the sponsor of his team knowing his background approached him with a proposal for Zmeu to keep on piloting hovercrafts  while one day perhaps getting a revenge for his parents: the solution was to join the unit the Order of the Five Pillars was raising.
Without any other contract available, Zmeu Făt-Frumos accepted and was assigned to the Hands of Kannon where he brought his pilot skills but also his troublesome attitude, which made him a perfect candidate for Alex Booth’s team and the piloting of a Plainsman.

Very nice Ice! Would you like to grab any other projects listed above? Not too much more to go and it would be a big help. ;)

Also reached out to Sharpnel today though the CBT boards, hopefully will get our location here. He did get back to me and is working on it. Everything is starting to come together. ;)

Gonna update the roster at the bottom of page 1 of this thread again to reflect what is now completed again, done!
