Quicksilver Trials RATs
« on: June 28, 2021, 04:09:06 PM »

These Quicksilver Trials (circa 3053) Random Assignment Tables (RATs) are based directly on Revival Trials (circa 3048) and compare somewhat to the Field Manual Crusader Clans and Warden Clans that would follow later (circa 3060). The contests that we did and events within determined the composition of these forces as well as canon events like the Clan Invasion. Comments are welcome, so please question away!

Blood Spirit
Now remember the Touman of this Clan is much larger at this point (44 Clusters in 11 Galaxies) as the Absorption War hasn’t happened. Much of their original build up was thanks to the Snow Raven Warships for Mechs deal which occurred at the turn of the 31st century some forty years ago. You’ll notice if you compare the Blood Spirits to their Revival Trials predecessors that their new resources gleaned during Quicksilver have been dedicated to modularizing their front-line forces. Most of these replacements are classified as Zombies OmniMechs using standard Fusion Engines. This should further enhance their operational capabilities that were previously hampered by the presence of BattleMechs. The Clan has also cashed in on their manpower surplus recently by contracting with the Diamond Sharks in order to restore their battered touman. This deal has financed much of the Spirit’s Quicksilver make over and benefited both Clans.

Burrock
The enigmatic Burrock Clan has always featured a flexible touman (32 Clusters in 7 Galaxies) which was often a study in contrasts. Major battles with the Bandit Caste left their mark on the Clan in the wake of the Clan Invasion. Their new Khan used the Quicksilver Trials to reimagine his forces in new and different ways. Embracing the total ‘Mech philosophy known as the Forsaken Doctrine, which banned Vehicles from service, the new touman bears little resemblance to the pre-invasion version. Like their ancient nemesis, the Blood Spirits, most BattleMechs in front line units have now been replaced with OmniMechs. Many of these new war machines are inspective ‘Zombies’ which thanks to their modular nature should be much more flexible then their conventional predecessors.

Cloud Cobra
Activating its massive reserves during the Quicksilver Trails the Cloud Cobras experienced massive growth (37 Clusters in 7 Galaxies). Fifteen Clusters (and one new Galaxy) were called up from the Clan’s massive reserve contingents which were slimmed down. Rather than having a one to one ready replacement ratio the new Reserve Clusters, which were also counted as part of the Touman, could now replace one in four warriors. For third line formations (Clan militia) Python Clusters were created as freebirth/ failed trueborn Vehicle units (four trinaries; three ground and one VTOL) with Solahma infantry (one trinary). Training formations (Wisp Clusters) and special forces (Watch Clusters) are the only other tertiary commands in the Clan because of Reserve Clusters, inclusion of freeborn warriors, and the incorporation of Solahma into the Touman.
