A little ahead of timeline but worth telling more soon

   On the outskirts of Luck City on Kyeinnisan in the former Free Worlds League Clan Sea Fox BattleMechs and Battle Armour troops of the Fifty-first Strike Cluster were dying as the Opacus Venatori BattleMechs moved on their positions.  The Sea Fox’s Territorial Waters Khanate only controlled eight percent of the lawless gamblers world and the Opacus Venatori had come directly at them, which is exactly what Captain Stacy Church of the Wolf’s Dragoons had counted on as her Wolf Spider Company revealed themselves.

   â€œWidow to Berith your Endgame has arrived” she said on an open frequency she could see the massive Red-and-black Mech react to her comm. “Wolf’s Dragoons, engage!” Spying the back of a trailing Mercury light BattleMech and sent a particle cannon blast into the Mech, the light Mech would have struggled to take the hit to its forward armour the rear armour simply disintegrated under her fire.  Falling to the ground there was little chance of a recovery.  As Opacus Venatori BattleMechs turned to face the Black Widows the rest of the Black Widows company opened fire almost as one.  A Mongoose II and a Lightray both crumbled under the fire taken to pieces by concentrated fire from the Wolf‘s Dragoons Mechs.  A scream was heard over the radio channels Stacy Church recognized the inhuman voice and looked at the black-and-red Archangel near the rear of the formation being swarmed by five Sea Fox Elementals.  “Black Widows Unity!  One last push with our Clan brothers let us destroy these vermin.”  She said over an open communication channel letting the Opacus Venatori know their end was near that the Wolf‘s Dragoons and the Clans had had their time with the Word of Blake and it was time for it to end.  Both sides would have heard her and would have seen the Sea Fox Elementals swarm attack they would know that the bane of the clans Berith was in trouble possibly for the first time since the Opacus Venatori revealed themselves.

   With fire hitting the Opacus Venatori from both sides two of the advanced Opacus Venatori OmniMech designs fell under heavy fire the Mechs were impressive and of unknown manufacture but they were till built from the same thing as every other Mech and could still be destroyed.  Stacy changed her target to a heavily damaged and mangled King Crab which had just finished off a Sea Fox Mad Cat II, she knew the design well and knew only one served the Opacus Venatori, the one belonging to Kari Martia a Word of Blake Demi-Precentor who had once commanded the Broadsworld Legion a unit that had betrayed the Wolf’s Dragoons on Outreach during the great Riot which had destroyed much of Harlech and killed Jamie Wolf.  Moving her Zeus closer Stacy fired her Particle cannon and autocannon at the big Mech targeting the left arm she was more than happy to see the limb fall limp as her fire shredded the myomer muscle the arm needed to function.  She was even more happy to see the Mech’s ECM suite housed in the nearby torso go off-line caused by damage from Stacy‘s autocannon blast.  Running forward she closed to point blank distance slamming her Mech into the bigger King Crab, instantly Stacy swung her Mech’s Enhanced Left arm into the King Crab’s ‘gut’ area doubling over the hunched design.  With the PPC now at point blank Stacy fired again seeing the one hundred ton Blake Mech raise off the ground, her display’s showed the particle cannon had fused with the point blank firing however she didn’t care raising her autocannon right arm she fired a solid round of lead into the King Crab’s right shoulder pushing the heavier Blake Mech away with her damaged left arm.  The King Crab staggered backwards straight into Stacy’s medium lasers and another autocannon blast, the lasers scorched the left side of the King Crab however it was the Autocannon that did the real damage soaring higher than previous fire the high explosive shells tore into the head caving in the armour before tearing the whole structure clear of the BattleMech its pilot and all.  The remains of the head came to rest about three hundred metres behind the BattleMech smashing into the ground before rolling almost another one hundred metres there was no chance of pilot survival.

   The King Crab fell away from Stacy’s Zeus just as there was another scream from Berith, Stacy glanced over and saw an Elemental breach the front window of his Archangel.  Even from the hampered view of Stacy’s cockpit she could see there were several large shots from inside the cockpit as the Elemental fell from its perch on the Archangel’s face, the armoured trooper falling lifelessly to the ground beside the Archangel‘s foot.  Moments later another replaced it, there were several more shots from within the cockpit however this time the Elemental trooper fired its short range missile launcher almost at point blank range no doubt killing the trooper but also blowing away almost all the rest of the Archangel’s head armour, amazingly the whole cockpit roof came flying off showing Berith still alive hunched over in the tiny cockpit. The third Elemental did not fail where the others had and swung his battle claw the massive titanium claw connected with the left side of Berith’s head and ripped half his head clean off, the pilot amazingly appeared still conscious as a second swing threw the body of Berith the twelve-and-a half metres to the ground.  The impact slammed crushed his body as the Elemental jumped clear of the OmniMech which finally fell to the ground behind its dead pilot.

   Looking around the Captain Stacy Church could not see a single Opacus Venatori BattleMech active all burning at either a the Black Widows feet or at those of the Sea Fox warriors.  Only six of her own Mechs appeared active and maybe a trinary of Sea Fox units were active but the Opacus Venatori were dead, finally dead perhaps now the Word of Blake menace was finally gone.  The Wolf’s Dragoons and the Wolf Spider Battalion had been avenged, the Clan‘s contract with the Dragoons was over.  “Black Widows call in” she ordered for a final time in the campaign.

   â€œUnity!”  The survivors called in as one, she noticed several of the Sea Fox warriors had joined them in the call this was their victory as well but it was all the sweeter for Stacy her command made famous by the great Black Widow, Natasha Kerensky, had proven its worth and been victorious against a foe well worth of being called the Dragoons rival.  The Wolf Spider would stay on planet for a few days but soon they would head home to Outreach, victorious.
