I never did a Colt Class BC for the Concordat.  The only BC I did for the Concordat was the Liberty Class, a refit of the Black Lion. 

The only Colt BC that I saw on the CBT boards is definitely not mine.  Not even the stats.  Here's the Liberty- it doesn't fit in with this AU but it is a favorite design of mine.  The broadside can be devastating.  Hope you enjoy it.

Designer’s Note:
Since TR3057R isn’t out yet I can guess what the original SLDF warships were like without blatantly contradicting the cannon designs.  I decided, after looking over the Black Lion Stats in TR2750 and TR3057, that the original model had about 1200 tons of Ferro Carbide Armor.   Basically if you convert the TR2750 armor values to AT2 values the only way you get close to those numbers is with roughly 1200 tons of Ferro Carbide armor, which is close to the max armor the Black Lion can carry (1215 tons). 

Overview:
The Liberty Class Battle Cruiser is actually a heavy modified Star League Black Lion Class Battlecruiser, the SLS Tripitz. The Tripitz had been traveling through an uninhabited system near New Vandenberg during the Periphery Uprisings of 2765 when it suffered a failure to it’s KF Drive. While the damage was relatively simple to repair, the crew lacked the parts needed to repair the drive.  Normally a SLDF search and rescue vessel would have been sent out to try and locate the ship when it was reported missing, but unfortunately for the crew of the Tripitz the Amaris Crisis had just broken out and the SLDF never launched a search and rescue mission.  The ship floated abandoned in the system until it was located by the Taurian Concordat in 2979.  The ship had suffered some damage from decay over the years, as the ship was not properly mothballed by the crew before they abandoned it for one of the planets in the system.  The Taurians quickly realized that they could repair the ship and add it to their fleet.  Comstar managed to learn of this discovery from decrypted Taurian HPG messages. Comstar feared that Taurians would be able to repair the ship and so they  launched a strike force to destroy the Tripitz.  For almost a century Comstar believed that the ship was destroyed, that was until 3066 when the Tripitz, now called the TCS Liberty, was seen operating in the Hyades Cluster.  It is still uncertain how the Taurians managed to salvage the Tripitz after the Comguards attack as the ship is know to have crashed into the planet it was orbiting. [Editor’s Note: We do have a pretty good theory on what happened with the Tripitz.  After locating the ship the Taurians began to repair it and ready the Tripitz to leave the system.  During this time Taurian Intelligence discovered that the Capellans had learned of the ship and planned to try and capture it. The TDF knew that they could not simply move the ship, as the Capellans would continue searching for the Tripitz until they located the ship. We have reason to believe the Concordat somehow managed to switch the Tripitz with the SLS Hood, a Black Lion Battlecruiser that was lost during the Periphery Uprisings.  We suspect the Concordat had managed to locate the Hood, which was abandoned by the SLDF after suffering severe damage to the KF drive and bridge.  We believe the Concordat made some minimal repairs to the ship’s KF Drive so that they could move it and use it as a double for the Tripitz. These suspicions are based on a study of the “Tripitz” that was conducted after the attack by the ComGuards. Shortly before the ship crashed into the planet it was orbiting, a Comstar team boarded the ship in order to study it. The discovered that the ship was not the Tripitz but that it was in fact the SLS Hood.  They also discovered that the KF core had a number of jury rigged repairs made to it and, more surprisingly, that the jump drive had been used recently.  So while we can not confirm this story, there is a high probability that it is true.]  The Taurians then took the Tripitz to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for repairs. For a number of years the ship was used as a testbed for new naval technologies.  Some time in the 3030s,  the Concordat Navy decided to fully refit the ship and ready it for active service. The refit ship, now named the Liberty, was one of 3 Concordat Warships that were kept as part of the ready reserve fleet and used to train Concordat warship crews.  The ship returned to full active sometime in the 3060s, although it is unclear exactly when that occurred.

Capabilities:
The Taurian Navy ships have always been much lighter then the warships operated by other nations, as the Concordat prefers to rely on large numbers of small, fast corvettes for the bulk of their fleet. The 810,000 ton Liberty Battlecruiser is only slightly smaller then the Monsoon class Battleships that were used by the Concordat during the Reunification War.  So while the Liberty is still officially classified as a Battlecruiser, the Taurian Navy typically deploys the ship as a Battleship.  [Editor’s Note: We believe the Concordat has continued to classify the Liberty as  Battlecruiser rather then a Battleship in an effort to confuse their opponents. While larger designs like the Mjolnier and Nightlord do carry more armor then the Liberty, the Liberty carries far more weaponry then either of those ships.]

The Taurians started their modifications by removing almost all of the weapons carried by the Black Lion.  The large Scarborough-30 Naval Autocannons and Imperator 20 Naval Autocannons were replaced with 32 Vandenberg Arms God’s Wrath-30 Naval Autocannons. The God’s Wrath Autocannons are the standard naval autocannons of the Taurian Navy and their use on the Liberty simplifies maintenance and supply issues.  Supporting the Naval Autocannons are 20 Heavy Naval PPCs.

The weapon placement was designed to provide maximum firepower to the broadsides of the ship, while still providing firepower to the fore and aft sides of the ships.  The Naval Autocannons are mounted in twin turrets, the majority of which are mounted to cover the fore and aft sides of the ship. This allows the guns to cover the majority of the nose and aft of the ship, and at the same time allows them to add their firepower to the broadside mounted Naval PPCs.  This allows the Liberty to concentrate up to 14 Autocannons and 10 Naval PPCs against a single target. This makes the Liberty a threat to even the largest warships.  To help cover the gaps in the capital weapons firing arcs,  single twin NAC turrets are mounted on the fore and aft of the ship.

Supporting the Naval Autocannons and PPCs are a number of White Shark and Barracuda missile launchers.  The White Sharks are intended for use against smaller, secondary targets such as dropships, while the Barracudas are primarily for use against enemy fighter squadrons. 

In addition to increasing the number of Barracuda Missile launchers, the design team added 10 quad PPC turrets for improved anti-fighter defenses.  These are mounted to cover all sides of the ship.  While this protection is not as extensive as the fighter defenses found on more modern ships, it is a significant improvement over the defensive capabilities of the Black Lion.

In addition to the extensive changes made to the weapons, the designers also made a number of other changes.  The armor was slightly improved from the original Black Lion specifications by adding some additional armor plating to the ship. [Editor’s Note: We know the Concordat  does not have the capability to manufacture the Ferro-Carbide armor carried by the Liberty. We are currently assuming the armor was stripped from the Hood and/other derelict SLDF warships.]   The fuel tanks were tripled in size, greatly increasing the ship’s endurance.  The designers also increased the size of the fighter bay so that it could accommodate up to 24 fighters, allowing the Liberty to carry an entire Air Division.

With all the changes to the ship, the crew grew to 300.  This necessitated an increase in the number of lifeboats and escape pods carried on the ship.

Deployment:
The Tripitz was refit and renamed the Liberty sometime in the 3030s. The ship was based at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard where it was used as a training vessel for the Concordat Navy.  It is uncertain what role the ship may have played in the Capellan War, although there are rumors that the ship was operating as a raider deep within Capellan territory.  Since 3066 the Liberty has been serving with the I Corps fleet.

Well Master Arminas is around here somewhere and like Irose has written some absolutely fantastic Taurian stuff. I can't find the Colt but there is the pinnacle of Taurian shipbuilding the Samantha Calderon.

I checked over the Naval Archive which Irose and myself were a part of and there were a few large Taurian craft designed by Liam's Ghost. You can still find him on the CBT forum and he was also an excellent Taurian writer. If I could get all three of them together on a Concordat project, wow! Anyway Liam did make a Battlecruiser named the Jamestown, enjoy!

Overview:
The Jamestown class battlecruiser was, in many ways, the Concordat's unrealized last stand. Designed in the years before the Reunification War, the Jamestown was intended to go toe to toe with the best Davion, Liao, or the Terran Hegemony could throw at her, and win.
The Concordat had already been pushed to the wall by her two more powerful neighbors before. In the mid 24th Century the Concordat fought Davion in several costly naval battles, her tiny corvettes giving a good account of themselves against the larger Davion ships. In the next century they faced off against Liao in a virtual extermination war. Knowing the greater industrial might and superior military strength of their neighbors, the Concordat depended on guile, skill, and a fleet of well designed warships.
Nevertheless, this was not enough. Knowing that the fleet was still too weak to stand indefinitely against the growing alliance of the inner sphere, the Concordat committed itself to an extensive military buildup, a buildup so extensive and so secret that many of its preparations weren't even apparent until after the war's end.
The Jamestown was to be the culmination of those efforts.

Capabilities:
The Jamestown, like so many Taurian vessels, was designed with no other purpose but to destroy her enemy, and she would have done that frighteningly well.
Unlike most Taurian vessels (which generally depended on maneuver and superior gunnery to gain the edge) the Jamestown is intended to fight her enemies on their terms and destroy them. Had she been completed, she would have pretty much outclassed any ship she could expect to meet in every way.
The ship is armed with forty heavy naval autocannons, along with sixty naval missile tubes and nearly three dozen aerospace fighters. Though the ship lacks weapons directly forward (with the exception of a nest of missile tubes), this was not considered a major flaw. She was intended as a broadside fighter opperating in a traditional line of battle, as a consequence most of her fighting would be done from the broadsides. Nevertheless, this did leave a potential weakness that could be exploited, though the ship's nose mounted missile cluster was nothing to snear at.
In addition to the heavy broadside, the ship also has a number of guns covering its aft quarter, meaning attacks on the ship's aft quarter would have been very dangerous indeed. Why the designers made sure to cover the aft while leaving the nose much more lightly armed is not known.
Intended for primarily defensive operations, the Jamestown would have had relatively low endurance. Cargo capacity is light, roughly sufficient for four to six months of operation.

Deployment:
Though the design was apparently completed early on in the Reunification War, the shipyards to build her were not. Plans were made to begin construction of the class in 2590, however as the war dragged on the resources to construct the ship weren't available, and the project was continually delayed year after year. The death knell for the program came in 2594, when the SLDF managed to destroy the shipyards over Jamestown (where the new ship was to have been built). Though never actually cancelled, the program was essentially abandoned after that.
Had the war been delayed a decade and construction gone forward, it is believed that Jamestown class ships (twenty were planned), would have formed the last line of defense of the Hyades Cluster. It was hoped that any fleet that penetrated the considerable defenses of the cluster could be quickly dispatched by such a force, allowing the Hyades Cluster, the industrial and cultural heart of the Concordat, to hold out indefinitely. Whether this would have worked or not is anybody's guess.

Variants:
The Hyades Report, a highly classified and very extensive report on TDF forces that survived the Reunification War, devotes an entire section to another unrealized Taurian battlecruiser, identified as the Electra and intended for production in the Pleiades Cluster. Unlike the Jamestown, the Electra was intended to serve on the front lines as a fast attack ship. Though the ship's design schematics were lost when the Pleiades Cluster fell to the League, remaining information indicates she was to be the same mass as the Jamestown, though less well protected, less well armed, and significantly faster.

I've asked on other forums what might seem stupid questions and been basicly given the third degree for not knowing all canon issues and eratta , so I very much appreciate the interaction i'm having at this site ,(please over look the miss spelling and puctuations ... grammar was never one of my strong suits) since great story telling and plausible histories mean a lot in any story line . was just reading the taurian civil war , marvelous , but when will it be finished . being ex-navy  I guess you can understand my interest in all things naval . like I said yesterday i'm a strong taurian fan . so any other ws , js or ds designs any of you might have for my favorite periphery faction I would really be interested in .

Nah very rarely does OBT go for that approach one reason I like it over here even if it's a little quiet sometimes.
